5 | Glenbrook North | 21-5-2 | Only team to beat New Trier. 4th in 3A. Looking forward to watching MF Sam Lappin on the basketball court this season. |
6 | Stagg | 18-4-1 | Lost a heartbreaker to Lyons in the Super Sectional. Tremendous late-season surge. Jose Flores was one of the states best goalkeepers. |
7 | Leyden | 18-5-1 | Incredible run to the sectional championship. Losing to New Trier. Last loss before that was September 16th. |
8 | OPRF | 21-1-2 | Only in a PK shootout in the regional final did they suffer their first loss of the season. Incredible ride. |
9 | Elgin | 16-4-3 | Preseason #1 lost in 2OT to Glenbrook North in their Super Sectional. Eduardo Nava scores an astounding 36 goals on the season. |
10 | Bloom | 25-2 | Lost in the sectional final to Stage. Junior MF Omar Ortiz racks up 77 points this season. |
11 | Palatine | 20-1-3 | Karol Noga made his presence felt. Didn’t lose until sectional final. |
12 | Evanston | 17-3-3 | OT loss to New Trier spoiled their State Championship hopes. Incredible run. |
13 | St. Charles East | 19-8 | Big run to the 3A Super-Sectionals. Jake Walker shines defensively. |
14 | York | 16-5 | Took St. Charles East to a penalty shootout in the sectional final. Seniors Gustavo Herrera, Damian Glodz, and Jayden Waski combine for 40 goals. |
15 | Stevenson | 16-3-1 | Ran into Palatine in the Playoffs. |
16 | Morton | 16-6-2 | Mustangs will always test you. Fell to Lyons in Sectional Championship. |
17 | St. Laurence | 15-8-2 | Vikings finish 3rd in 3A. Sr Johnny Esparza balls out. Super skilled and makes everyone better. |
18 | North Shore Country Day | 17-5-1 | Raiders win 1A title. Henry Gallun steps up in state series. |
19 | Niles North | 21-3 | A season for the ages. |
20 | Brother Rice | 19-4-2 | Crusaders have emerged as a real threat in the Catholic league. Incredible run to the 2A Super-Sectonal before falling to Peoria Notre Dame. Juniors Angelo Pitch and Julian Zambrano make everyone better. |
21 | Round Lake | 16-6-1 | Cinderella run to the 3A Sectional Final. Jr Jorge Morales is a game-changer. |
22 | Notre Dame | 15-4-2 | ESCC champs. Upset OPRF in regional championship. |
23 | Naperville Central | 10-6-7 | Stepped up late in the season. Reached sectional championship. |
24 | Hinsdale Central | 12-6-3 | Up and Down season. Lost to Morton 2-1 in sectional semifinal. |
25 | Timothy Christian | 18-7 | 2A Sectional Champs. Unbeaten in October until Super Sectional. Knocked off Boylan, Benet in the process. |
26 | Benet | 14-4-3 | Another team with an up and down season. Nick Roe shines on the back line. |
27 | DePaul Prep | 13-6-3 | Moved up a class and won their first sectional championship. Group of talented Juniors look to do it again next year. |
28 | Marmion | 12-4-3 | Co-Champs in the Catholic League. But upset in the regional semifinal. Jr Giovanni Magana excels. |
29 | Whitney Young | 15-7-3 | Reese Kruschke Reese Kruschke M IL scores 18 goals for the CPL City Champs. Heartbreaking loss to Lyons in the playoffs. |
