Apologies for the late upload. Here's a few notes I have from the ECNL showcase in Phoenix last weekend.

Chicago Inter 05-06 Shines on Both Ends

Inter had a handful of big time contributors in their early-morning win over Pleasanton RAGE. [player_tooltip player_id='172181' first='Ava' last='Kozak'] was outastanding. Her ability to improvise and make plays while transitioning to attack was shown in this contest. They beat them with ease 5-0. Inter followed it up with a pair of 4-0 victories on Saturday and Sunday. Led by 2025 GK Clara Roche, Inter failed to concede a goal.

Defending 08 National Champs go 3-0

Another team to go 3-0 this weekend were the Michigan Hawks 07-08 team. What I like most about this team is their ability to both attack and defend as a group. There weren't many individual standouts. But one of the names I liked watching was [player_tooltip player_id='94677' first='Amber' last='Weaver']. Although primarily a defender, she held her own on the attacking front and helped create a handful of scoring opportunities. Allison Ernst also impressed with her speed off the ball and her touch in the attacking third. Look for the Hawks to be a favorite to repeat this summer.

Rockford Raptors 07 Excites Me

The Raptors picked up two 1-1 draws and a 3-2 win over the weekend. The most exciting game was undoubtedly their matchup Saturday; Where they overcame a deficit early to win. Keira Bogott showed great pace off a through ball late in the opening half to open the scoring run. She found her groove again early in the second half with another long run. Capitalized by a big strike into the top right corner. In a half of action that game, Purdue Committ [player_tooltip player_id='106812' first='Megan' last='Holland'] was a huge presence in goal.

ECNL 05-06 go 2-1

Despite dropping a contest midweek. I have a few good points about this eclipse squad. Anya Gulbrandsen was very effective in the attacking game and got herself into some very dangerous spots on the field. Olivia also produced heavily and created plenty of scoring chances for herself and her team. She scored and assisted in their 3-2 win over Mustangs.

Apologies for the late upload. Here's a few notes I have from the ECNL showcase in Phoenix last weekend.
