CESA had moments attacking but North Carolina had most of the possession throughout the match. NC Courage showed patience and confidence in keeping the ball. They also showed they were confident in trying to attack in the right moments. CESA decided early in the match to defend as a team and counter attack on the mistakes of NC Courage. CESA had some moments in the attacking third. NC Courage had an unlucky touch in their own half, CESA is quick to attack and wins a penalty kick. Ava Brown was the goal scorer for the penalty kick. NC Courage's Campbell Sykes scored the second goal after [player_tooltip player_id='125018' first='Eva' last='Forster'] shot to challenge the keeper. Both teams stuck to their game plan throughout the match. She connects passes well and can find the open players often. As much as she is an outlet for her back line, Forster displayed she can and will join into the attacking game. She created the opportunity for the second goal. She was a big reason NC Courage was able to keep possession for most of the match.
