Set to take place at the Premier Sports Campus, in Lakewood Ranch, the event will have teams from the U16, U17 and U18/19 age groups, with as many as 230 sides making the trip to Florida to get some high-level competition early in the year.
Several clubs from Texas will be in action too, as Albion Hurricanes FC, Dallas Texans, DKCS, Solar SC, Sting Austin and Sting Dallas will be represented in the tournament, sending 14 teams to the event.
Keep an eye out for these Texas forwards:
Stone will be in action with FC Dallas G08 against Connecticut FC, NC Courage and CESA Liberty. She’s a very dynamic and intelligent player, who has all the tools to operate on the attacking third and can be used in any offensive position. Stone is very quick, an excellent dribbler and is very precise with her crossing – a combination that makes of her a threat in wider positions. She’s also a solid finisher and has been asked to produce more in that area due to the injury of teammate Shaylin Taylor Shaylin Taylor F Allegiance Academy | 2027 State TX .
Beck will be leading the line for Solar SC G08 in their duels against Penn Fusion SA, De Anza Force and Concorde Fire Platinum in Lakewood Ranch. She’s a forward with excellent size and physical tools, but also impressive resources, which makes of her a handful to any defender. Naturally a striker, Beck is very good in holdup plays, using her body to keep opponents away from the back and engaging in quick combination plays with midfielders. She can also be a threat in individual plays, beating defenders off the dribble (her stepovers are really deceiving) and using either foot to finish. The striker moves very well off the ball too and often gets to score in easy tap-ins.
Jones will try to get DKSC G07 goals against Ohio Premier, Concorde Fire Platinum and Portland Thorns. She operates a target forward to her team, getting on the end of long passes and using her pace to chase balls that go toward the sidelines. Jones uses her body very well to shield the ball, but can also create chances with quick combination plays and unexpected turns around and inside the penalty box. She frequently finds good spots inside the penalty box to finish chances and is very calm in front of the goal.
Davis will one of Albion Hurricanes FC G07’s offensive weapons against SLSG Navy, Utah Avalanche and VA Union. She typically plays as a left winger and can be very dangerous with her pace and dribbling ability. The forward is very direct when she has the ball and also does a very good job without it, looking for spaces behind the backline to explore. A right-footed player, she does a very good job with her finishes when she gets on the ball inside the penalty box. Davis also has a very high work rate, often tracking back and helping the team on defense.
Love and her Sting Dallas Black G06/05 team will battle Match Fit Academy, FSA FC and Heat FC this weekend in Florida. She typically plays as a left winger for them and uses to be a constant threat down the left with her pace and dribbling ability. Love is also a reliable goalscorer and finds great success by making diagonal runs and attacking the space between the outside back and the center back. Also an elite track student-athlete, Love is also very good with set pieces.
