As part of the rankings process, we do a deep-dive into each position group from the rankings. Below is a scouting report on the forwards who appear in the 2027 rankings for Florida.
Garcia is an attacking talent on the Orlando City U15 MLS Next team. He plays as an attacking midfielder or on the wing. I mainly saw him play on the wing in the second half against St. Louis City SC. He is a weapon in 1v12 duels with the ball at his feet. He’s a creative playmaker. He is elusive with the ball and determined to win it back quickly when his side loses possession. He has the qualities to be a standout in that role. He’s also an excellent passer with good vision – and offers more than a one-dimensional winger. Garcia has the qualities that make him a player to watch whenever Orlando City takes the field.
George Jackson aka Geo is a winger on the Tampa Bay United MLS Next team. He has been part of a number of US Soccer Talent ID events in the pass. He is one of the more exciting players in Florida in this class. Jackson impressed me with his speed of play. He immediately springs to action when on the ball as he already planned out his next move or pass. Jackson’s first touch and good close ball control make him a handful to mark on the wing. He typically plays on the right and can deliver a good cross. His passing and combination play is even better. Jackson has the qualities to be outstanding winger at the next level.

Fraley is a forward on the Chargers U15 MLS Next team. He’s had training opportunities with a number of MLS academies. He has also been part of the US Soccer Talent ID Center events. He’s a physical player who uses his body well. Fraley has the tools to be a game-breaking talent in the attack. He can get in behind defenses and put away chances with the best of them in this class. It’s easy to see why so many scouts have been after him for the past two years.
Highlights
Jose Segura aka Santi is a forward on the Athletum FC MLS Next team. He is a center forward. Segura impressed me with his recent play at the MLS Next level. He is a difficult player to defend. He is great at playing off the shoulders of defenders and darting into the space when the ball is played over the top. He’s selfish in the best way and always looks to finish chances. Segura appears to be relatively new to his club team, and should be one to watch moving forward.

Lewis is a forward/midfielder on the Florida Kraze 09 ECNL squad. He was part of the US Club Soccer id2 Tour in 2023. I put him down as a forward, but he could be considered a midfieldertoo. He’s one of those players that a coach just wants to get on the field in some role because he makes a difference in the final third. He’s a good finisher with either foot. He’s clean with the ball at his feet and does well in keeping close control under pressure and extending the touch when he is running into space. Lewis has a strong technical foundation, which should take him a long way in the game.
