It will feature a number of teams from across different national leagues in the region duking it out to see who is best. It will also feature games of ucommitted players that for college coaches and scouts should be one of the highlights of the event.
Players for the uncommitted games are coming from a variety of clubs in multiple states but I picked out 10 players from the clubs local to Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley to highlight.
Junior Diouf
Junior Diouf
Diouf burst onto the local Eastern PA scene in the fall as a sophomore forward at Phelps who just got better as the season progressed. Like any striker he’s streaky but as his confidence and ability in front of goal grows so does his ceiling.
Uglow is a rare talent that can influence a game at the youth level as a left back. Good with his feet and able to break lines with his passing, his size makes him a tough match-up for wide attacking
Highlights
Francisco Benbow
Francisco Benbow
Benbow is a skillful keeper who is well rounded who has that sweeper keeper quality about him, quick off his line, smooth with the ball at his feet.
Caden Bredeman
Caden Bredeman
Bredeman is dangerous with his left foot both on dead balls and breaking lines with long passes but he can beat you with his right too. One of several players emerging out of a talented Lancaster FC program.
Cappuccio is quick and shifty in the final third with good body control and a full toolbox of ways to beat defenders.
Kehmar Green
Kehmar Green
Green has made incredible strides in his game over the past couple years and is impossible to miss because of his size and presence, winning balls in the air and tracking down speedy attackers in 1v1 situations.
Diego has really made strides since joining the Union program, both in his positioning on the field but also his strength in winning 50-50 balls and knocking other players off the ball.
Highlights
Georgios Kazatzioglou
Georgios Kazatzioglou
Georgios was one of the most consistent performers during another banner season for Phelps School. He has a knack for being in and around the ball a lot and popping up in places where he can be dangerous. He’s also a relentless competitor.
Zach creates a lot of problems for opponents down the middle of the park with his ability to read the game and pass between the lines while also disrupting opposing team’s tactics.
Mohamed Ali Diallo
Mohamed Ali Diallo
Diallo is another player who has benefited greatly from his time in the Union Development Squad. Tricky to match up against in the final third his confidence has really grown in the final third.
