KEEPER: The choice here was pretty easy as Jordan Victor Jordan Victor GK State CA , the senior from Jesuit, is committed to Stanford. Victor allowed seven goals all season long, and only four in the regular season, for a goals against average of less than a quarter of a goal per game. Victor is a complete keeper with shot stopping abilities and the ability to play the ball at his feet. He sees angles, controls the ball well and is commanding in his box.
DEFENDERS: This group of three is made up of Whitney’s Jake Tyberg Jake Tyberg 6'2" | D Whitney | 2024 CA , Giovanni Brunolli from Oak Ridge and Charlie Black from Jesuit. Tyberg is a complete defender, one who can lock down an attacker, and move the attack forward with his great foot skills. Brunolli is an exceptional athlete with speed to burn, with great strength and ability to track defenders and stay with them. Black is a strong, physical defender who is not afraid to make a challenge, winning tackles and balls in the air.
MIDFIELDERS: This is a spectacular group of four as it includes Oak Ridge’s Tag Chalmers, Del Oro’s Beckham Pointer Beckham Pointer F Del Oro | 2024 CA , Davis High’s Dylan Ehlers Dylan Ehlers F CA and McClatchy’s Nathaniel Ochoa. Chalmers is doing to be a pro after he graduates, already signed on to play for CV Fuego of the USL after high school. He’s a calm, technically sound and smart No. 6. Pointer is a scoring threat as he is dangerous and creative with the ball. He is a smart, versatile player with a good work ethic. Ehlers is a good midfielder going both ways, disrupting play defensively and helping move the attack forward, while Ochoa is an explosive, creative and dynamic midfielder with a nose for scoring.
FORWARDS: Two of these three are Division I commits as Talan Rochelle of Granite Bay is heading to Gonzaga and Angad Singh from Elk Grove will be playing at Sacramento State. Rochelle shows great quickness and can play as a wide forward or centrally, while Singh possesses good quickness, is fluid on the ball and is great at taking on defenders. The third is Golden Valley’s Carlos Miranda who scored 27 goals in 12 league games as he is a prodigious striker.
