Massachusetts had a number of players represented in the national rankings for this debut list. Check out a scouting report on some of the best from the state below.
Loughnane is a forward on the South Shore Select SC 09 GA. She was part of the US U14 Girls National Team camp. Loughnane was a standout from the Girls Academy event in December. She is an elite finisher, one of the best in the Girls Academy. She has been prolific this season and opportunistic against even the best defenders. Loughnane offers the pace to get behind the defense, and the striking technique to pull off one-touch finishes. She is a smart player off the ball and makes good moves to create space with her runs. Loughnane’s finishing qualities makes her among the best forwards in this class.
Highlights
Gregorski is a midfielder on the FC Stars Blue 08 team. She was part of the ECNL Conference Cup over the summer. She was also named to the ECNL New England All-Conference team for last season. She plays as a defensive midfielder. The physicality she brings to the position is an emphasis of her game. From game film, it was obvious that Gregorski watches a lot of soccer and understands her role for the team. She had a number of tactical fouls to over the course of a few games that won’t show up on a highlight reel or game film, but definitely contributed to the win for her side. She is good on the ball, and tends to play one or two-touch soccer so she can get the ball moving from side-to-side quickly. Gregorski has the attributes that coaches look for from a No. 6.

Blosser is a midfielder on the FC Stars Blue 08 ECNL team. She is playing up an age group as she is an 09. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She also has been part of the ODP teams at a national level. Blosser’s recent play has been a strong point of the FC Stars squad. She is a two-way midfielder, an ideal fit for the No. 8 position. She has a well-rounded game with a lot of qualities that will continue to shine at higher levels of the game. Her defensive instincts are elite for the position. She has a knack for knowing the perfect timing on the tackle. She offers plenty in the attack today. She is a good dribbler and a capable finisher. Blosser is a big time player.
Blosser is a midfielder on the FC Stars Blue 08 ECNL team. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She is a versatile player who can play a number of positions through the center of the field. Blosser has missed most of this club season due to injury, but she recently returned to the field. Fully expect her to end up as one of the top players in this class.
Martens is a forward on the FC Stars Blue 08 ECNL team. She is a decorated prospect. She earned a spot on the ECNL New England All Conference First Team. She’s been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events. She is a multi-sport athlete (basketball and track&field) as well. Martens is a skillful, imposing forward. She has been the leading scorer for her club side the last two seasons. She can play with her back-to-the-goal or as a support striker. I think she is a center forward in the future. Her skill on the ball and physical approach gives her the tools to take on any center back. Martens has been scouted at a high level and will continue to be one of the top players in the Northeast from this class.
Bello is a defender on the South Shore Select 09 GA team. She played forward for her high school team and earned Eastern Mass Second Team honors as a freshman. Bello’s contributions at the club level is what earned her a high ranking at the national level. She is a key player for the defending National Champions in the Girls Academy. I like how aggressive she is in getting to the ball first and winning possession for her side. She’s athletic and stays on the front of her feet to pounce when the opportunity is available. She is really good at keeping possession for her team too. She wins the ball cleanly and quickly connects passes. She is a solid defender and matches up well in duels. Bello has a high upside and already stands out among the best in this class.
