The U19, U17 and U16 teams for FC Delco all won with the two oldest age groups winning in dramatic fashion. The U16 team dominated with a 5-0 win.
Here’s a look at some players who stood out in the three matches.
Nathan Brown
Nathan Brown
Brown was at the center of the FC Delco U19 team’s comeback and 2-1 win. He assisted the equalizer and scored the winner off a second ball from a corner kick. Brown’s movement with and without the ball was instrumental in the Delco attack.
Brown didn’t see enough of the ball on the night but when he did he was pretty sensational, spinning through pressure and splitting defenders.
Capretto played in both the U17 and U16 games and was impressive in both. So active in the final third and a pest to defend, he was involved in several of the goals in the U16 game, combining with Manny Coronado Manny Coronado F PA in creating havoc for the PA Classics back line.
It’s always a little tricky trying to watch two games at once but every time I looked over at the 2008 game, Manny was creating problems for the Classics defense and contributing to Delco’s lopsided 5-0 win.
Jeter Cardona
Jeter Cardona
Though they weren’t able to find a goal, the PA Classics 2007 attack looked dangerous with Cardona leading the front line. Good in hold-up play and movement, Cardona is one to watch as he continues to develop within the MLS Next setup at Classics.
Rand Parrillo

Parrillo showed well in the U17 game both on the defensive side and going forward the other way.

Regan was extremely active playing as a left back for FC Delco in the U19 game and was springing a lot of the attacks forward in the first half while doing a good job defending his part of the field. He had a called waived off for an offside flag that would’ve been icing on the cake of a strong performance.
With as productive as the Delco U16 attack was in their 5-0 win it could be easy to overlook the work on the defensive side of the field and the critical role Gilmore played in keeping the clean sheet in a game that was at times end to end.
