This group of midfielders and forwards is very, very talented and are the next wave of studs in California, as we will hear plenty of them for years to come.
Malik Harris Malik Harris M CA , Midfielder, Placer United
The Placer United midfielder is a very good talent with Division I potential. A bit small as a freshman now, Harris will continue to grow and get stronger, and that will make him even harder to knock off the ball. He’s an athletic player who shows great versatility and is very dynamic.
Sage Honeycutt, Midfielder, Strikers
Honeycutt has good size and speed, and he is very dangerous as he can create for his teammates or finish himself. He makes really good runs, finds space and is able to open up defenses. With great technical ability and vision, he is a handful for defenses.
Sebastian Moran Ruano Sebastian Moran Ruano 5'9" | F Mater Dei | 2027 CA , Forward, Strikers
When on the ball in the box, instead of panicking, the game just slows down for Moran Ruano. He is a very ruthless finisher. He runs in behind well and has great timing, which helps because he makes strong runs. He’s very comfortable on the ball and can link play well by coming underneath. He has a great work ethic and an excellent demeanor as he stays positive and doesn’t beat himself up. This is a great mindset for a striker. He’s an excellent teammate with a great attitude.
Aquiles Rodriguez, Forward, Pateadores
Rodriguez is a striker with a nose for goal. He is a handful for defenders at all times because he applies constant pressure. If you let your guard down for even a moment, he will pounce. He has a powerful shot and can create it out of nothing. He can use both feet but is dangerous when cutting back on his left.
Ayden Scammacca, Midfielder, Placer United
Scammacca is a special midfielder, one who can truly do it all. He’s very technical as he can control the ball at his feet very well or drop a precise, perfectly weighted pass to a teammate. He has a strong understanding of the game, and understands how space works really well. He can be dangerous in the attack but shows a lot of pride and will defend also.
