Oklahoma contributed a couple of key players to the national rankings for this class with a number of other players also in consideration for the list. Check out the scouting report on the top talent from Oklahoma below.
Heathcock is a midfielder on the OK Energy 08 ECNL team. She is a two-way player who can play any position on the field, which suggests she is going to be one of the top No. 8 in the country in this class. Heathcock has been part of the US Youth National Team program. She is an excellent passer with great vision. She has an elite trait in her distribution as she sees the game at an advanced tactical level. She knows when to play the ball into the feet of her teammate and when to utilize the open space. Heathcock’s intelligence combined with her athleticism and competitive drive make her one of the best players in the country in this class.
Heiple is a winger on the Tulsa SC 07 ECNL team. I think she gets lost in the shuffle some as the only 2027 on her club team. She is playing alongside and against some of the best 2025 and 2026s. Heiple is a standout two-way player. She is good at making quick decisions on the ball and providing an immediate option for a return pass with her movement. She does not always provide highlight reel plays in her game film, but she makes winning plays. Her effort and commitment to get back on defense makes a valuable piece for a side that is near the top of the standings in one of the most competitive divisions in the ECNL.
Highlights
Trotter is a midfielder on the Tulsa SC 09 ECNL team. She plays as a defensive midfielder for that side. She wears the captain’s armband for her club team. Her team plays in a difficult conference. Trotter has shown the quality to handle that level of competition. Based on the game film from recent Events, Trotter has the quality to be a standout at ID camps this summer. The way she sees the game and anticipates the next play is elite. She can be a dominant player in the center of the field – in all facets of the game. Trotter has big time potential that is probably going to show up more in the near future.
Regier is a forward on the OK Energy 08 ECNL team. She is a standout on that team. Regier possesses elite height for the position. She plays as a target forward for her team. There are some elements of that role that she could improve on. She has a good first touch so she can play with control of the ball while under pressure from a defender. She needs to impose a bit more in the defender to create space before receiving the ball. It’s fine tuning for an already elite prospect for the position. At over six-feet tall, Regier will have plenty of interest from this class. She has shown terrific growth in her game this season and should continue to be a top scorer in this class moving forward.
Bechtel is a midfielder on the OK Energy 08 ECNL team. She plays as a defensive midfielder. She is always in the right spot. She could improve on her technique in the tackle. She can pull out of the challenge a second too early. Bechtel understands her role really well. She has the engine to cover the whole field, but she times her runs when it will help her team the most. Her play in the ECNL National Event in Dallas showed her quality in that role especially on the goal against Crossfire. Bechtel offers a high upset prospect for the position.
