In this five-part series, we will dive into some of the best players from the country's second-most populated state which is Texas. All corners of the state are flush with athletic talent, in all sports really, and soccer is just continuing to spread in all directions, producing some of the best prep soccer players in the country. Here are seven of them to start with.

[player_tooltip player_id='169152' first='Jordan' last='Bryant'], Outside Defender, Memorial High, Class of 2026

Bryant plays for the Sting Dallas Royal 2008 ENCL team and plays high school for Memorial in Frisco, near Dallas. What Bryant offers is a lot of energy, a lot of focus and a lot of intelligence. She plays with a strong commitment to her craft and her teammates, she plays with a resilience that few possess and she plays with great speed and quickness on the outside.

Rhamsey Griffith, Central Defender/Midfielder, San Antonio Christian, Class of 2025

Griffith is a versatile, talented and athletic player. She can play as a strong, physical center back, or show her technical skills off in the midfield. When leading the back line, she plays with comfort and calm, she can control possession with the ball at her feet, and defends physically 1v1 and makes strong challenges. She does not get pushed off the ball easily, and offers a great deal of positional awareness, which allows her to step in front of passes in a timely manner. She helps transition the attack forward on the counter attack, delivering precise balls from the back line or deep in the midfield. Look for Griffith to become even better as she improves her left foot and gets even better with her slide tackling. She plays for Sting Austin's 2007 ECNL team.

[player_tooltip player_id='93359' first='Camden' last='Henard'], Midfielder, Parish Episcolpal School Class of 2026

Henard plays high school at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas and plays club for the Sting Dallas Black 2008 team. She had a great high school season, scoring 13 goals despite sitting deep as a defensive midfielder for the most part and she led her district in goals scored by a midfielder. Henard also contributed six assists. She can also play the No. 8 and go box-to-box, doing everything in the midfield her team needs of her. She is great at finding space, and operates well in it. She wins balls in the air and is a true ball-winner. Henard is good using her head to put a shot on target, but also has a strong shot with either foot. She's physical, not knocked off the ball easily and can really pick a pass, and deliver it precisely.

Emma Grace Jeffiers, Keeper, Byron Nelson, Class of 2025

Jeffers announced her commitment to Northwest Missouri State recently as the junior keeper from Byron Nelson High already knows where she will be playing after high school. Jeffers is getting herself ready to contribute at the college level as she is getting more and more explosive off her line, allowing her to close more distance and react more quickly. She is already excellent at stopping shots 1v1. Jeffers communicates well and keeper her defense organized and she also displays great discipline and resilience. Jeffers remains calm in her box, which leads to her playing confidently and consistently. The 2025 grad plays club for the Renegades Soccer 05/06 GA Frontier Conference team.

[player_tooltip player_id='27198' first='Renata' last='Larracilla'], Attackind Midfielder, The Woodlands High School, Class of 2025

Larracilla continues to be an impact player for her club, Challenge SC, and her school, The Woodlands High School. The junior is an attacking midfielder and she really showed off her technical skills this winter during the high school season. She executed precision passing and shots on frame, and also showed the ability to recover a second ball in addition to showing the ability to drop back and defend. Larracilla sees the field and understands the defender's actions, her teammates movements and knows how, where and when to play a ball through to help create goal-scoring opportunities. She is excellent in helping connect play in the middle of the field, she understands rhythm and timing while in possession. She shows good strength and uses her body well to win the ball back and to shield the ball. She is becoming even better as she is becoming more aggressive in looking to put shots on target, and she is improving her communication, along with her speed so she can be more of a threat to beat defenders and step into passing lanes. She's becoming more confident and showing more trust in herself to manipulate the ball.

Mariah Loera, Keeper, Parish Episcopal School, Class of 2025

Loera is teammates with Henard at Parish Episcopal, and the established keeper plays club for DKSC. She is a member of the class of 2025 and is a strong member of that recruiting class. A vocal keeper, Loera likes to play a high line to disrupt long balls and through balls. She is strong in 1v1 situations and is not afraid to come out. She is great with her feet and comfortable playing out of the back. She will reset play when needed and commands that of her teammates. A strong leader and reliable captain, Loera is a very confident player.

Audrey Rush, Central Defender/Defensive Midfielder, Reedy High, Class of 2026

Rush, the Dallas Texans club player, is a versatile player for club and her school, Reedy High. She can play as a center back or as a No. 6. Rush is a player that always comes prepared to play, utilizing her mental strength to make smart decisions and showing good positional awareness. She is good with the ball at her feet, making accurate passes and switching the field effectively. Rush has good speed as an attribute, and mentally shows great relentlessness, confidence and discipline. She's very aggressive and determined. Rush is looking to get even better with winning balls in the air, winning 50/50 battles and becoming more precise with her through balls.
