After advancing three rounds in the playoffs, four teams in each region remain alive, but just one of them will earn the right to play for the state title in just over a week. The qualified teams will emerge from the four Regional Tournaments that will take place around the Lone Star State between Friday and Sunday.
As we prepare for a critical couple of days in the high school soccer season, let’s preview each of the four Regional Tournaments, now looking at Region 2.
Teams: Rockwall (Rockwall), Tomball (Tomball), Tomball Memorial (Tomball) and Wylie East (Wylie)
Location: Kelly Reeves Complex
Rockwall
The Lady Jackets were the top team in District 10 with an undefeated campaign of 12 wins. Rockwall continued in impeccable form in the playoffs, progressing with victories over Naaman Forest in bi-district, Mansfield in the area round and Sachse in the regional quarterfinals. With 19 wins, three losses and two ties, they scored 99 goals and conceded 13 so far.

Tomball
The Lady Cougars finished district play in second place in District 15 with ten wins, one loss and three ties. Tomball’s postseason campaign had victories over Cypress Woods in bi-district, College Park in the area around and Klein in the regional quarterfinals. The team’s season record is currently at 16-2-3, with 81 goals for and 14 against.

Tomball Memorial
The Lady Wildcats were the top team in District 15 with a campaign of 11 wins, two losses and one tie. In the playoffs, they came out on top of duels with Langham Creek (bi-district), Grand Oaks (area round) and Bridgeland (regional quarterfinals) to make it to the regional tournament. Tomball Memorial have 18 wins, three losses and two ties in the season, with 88 goals scored and 12 conceded.

Wylie East
The Lady Raiders were the co-champions of District 9 with 15 wins and one loss. They managed to keep their pace in the postseason, getting wins over Rockwall-Heath in bi-district, Lake Ridge in the area round and Wylie in the regional quarterfinals. Wylie East have been on fire during the entire season, with 24 wins and just one loss – they scored 158 goals and allowed just 13.
