Texas State Tournament Top Performers: 4A Girls

The forward had a solid performance in the semifinals, helping her team beat Lumberton 3-1 by providing an assist. The best was yet to come, though, as Pritchard was the difference-maker in the Championship Game, scoring the championship-winning goal with a header, one of her strengths, and taking home the MVP award. Quiroz was huge in the semifinals against Lumberton, scoring the first two goals of the match within three minutes and displaying great presence inside the penalty box. She didn't find the back of the net in the final against Boerne, but made a critical defensive action early in the match, clearing a shot that was going into the net. After getting 22 clean sheets in 27 matches heading to Georgetown, Gustafson got another one in the Championship Game, giving her team the safety it needed to win by a small margin. She scored the team's only goal with a beautiful and difficult shot from the side of the penalty box that went right into the opposite upper corner and was very active with another two goalscoring attempts.
