Sequoia Cohen, Defender, Class of 2025

Cohen is a physical defender, one who is not afraid to use her body against attackers. She makes it hard on them as well because of how fast she is as she keeps pace with them in space. She shows really excellent anticipation in that she reads passing lanes well and snuffs out attacks before they have a chance to build. She's also comfortable with the ball at her feet and can help build an attack out of the back with a precision pass, and then can push up the side with pace. Cohen plays club with Oregon Surf.

[player_tooltip player_id='111630' first='Ava' last='Elizarraraz'], Forward/Attacking Midfielder, Class of 2026

Elizarraraz is an attacking player, through and through as she features as either a No. 11 or a No. 10. She reads the game really well and can create from either position. She's unselfish as she can set teammates up with a cross whipped into the box from out wide, or play a ball through when she cuts in or is at the No. 10 spot. She's proving to be a very good and improving finisher as well as showing improved footwork. She is a great communicator and is a leader on and off the pitch. She is coachable as well. She plays at Tualatin High and is now playing club at Crossfire Premier for the 2008 ECNL team.

[player_tooltip player_id='111631' first='Kiyana' last='Ellis'], Central Defender, Class of 2026

Ellis is a Century High player and plays club with Oregon Surf. She is a center back who is an excellent 1v1 defender as she makes excellent tackles, showing great timing and instincts. Ellis is also very strong when she gets on the ball and is very good at retaining it. She has a lot of field awareness and reads the game very well. She is also showing great strides when it comes to positioning herself and transitioning the ball at the point of attack, which includes consistently placing balls long when she decides to go that route. She's a captain and a leader, one that cares most about team success and doing it through communication and team work, both on and off the pitch.

Devin Mason, Keeper, Class of 2026

Mason plays at St. Helens High and is playing club with the Oregon Surf 2008 ECNL team. She is a fantastic keeper, and a lot of it has to do with the fact that she has a great knowledge of the game and reads it very, very well. She shows great drive, passion and commitment to the process of getting better. She works hard, which shows with how much better she has become at distributing the ball. She is a clean ball handler, rarely spilling a ball in front and choosing to catch instead of punch when she can. She is showing how brave she is in 1v1s and is becoming a more agile keeper to help with her ability to get vertical and handle crosses and shots aimed at just under the crossbar.

[player_tooltip player_id='164460' first='Maddie' last='Plaat'], Midfielder/Forward, Class of 2026

Plaat shows versatility in that she can play as a midfielder or a forward. She is a Central Catholic player for high school and plays club with Oregon Surf. She is a very technical player, showing terrific ball skills when in possession, including a great first touch. She's very good at finding space and occupying it, being dangerous while doing so and she really likes to get forward, but knows when to get wide, or to get back and help defend. She hits the ball well, and is starting to express herself coming forward more often. She has so much speed that she's playing more as a No. 7 for her club as opposed to a No. 10 or No. 8. She's greatly improved when it comes to creating scoring opportunities, she's a great outlet because of that first touch and because of how well she plays a through ball, showing excellent vision. She's becoming a more aggressive scorer, getting more shots for herself and using the space in front of her instead of always looking to play the ball forward.
