These five midfielders, who only finished their freshman year in high school recently, are exceptional. They are the exceptionally talented and gifted to where when you watch them, you know you're seeing something special. The sky is the limit for these five players who all have serious ambitions in the world of soccer.

[player_tooltip player_id='146447' first='Mathis' last='Albert'], LA Galaxy

Mathis is a special talent with a golden right leg. He can shoot and do so with power and with accuracy, and he finishes one-time as well as any young player that you are likely to see. Mathis is a versatile player who can sit as a No. 10 and tear a defense apart, or play as a wide midfielder or winger, depending on the formation. Wherever he is, he is blazing speed, ridiculous creativity and the ability to blow past defenders and create highlight-reel goals.

[player_tooltip player_id='146424' first='Ademar' last='Chavez'], LAFC

Chavez is a very special talent. If you underestimate him because of his size, he will make you look silly. He can really twist and turn defenders as he is incredibly shifty and agile. He moves so fluidly, so easily as he can literally break lines on his own. He weaves in and out of traffic with ease and he really runs the show from the central midfield position. His dribbling skills are incredibly advanced and he is very advanced from a standpoint of seeing and understanding the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='80833' first='Luka' last='Rosic'], San Jose Earthquakes

Rosic is a player that just sees the field, and knows all the moves to make before anybody else does. He is also incredibly calm and patient, which leads to very few mistakes. He is incredibly gifted, technically, as his ability to bring a ball down, to move the ball in and out and to put the ball in a place where only he can get to it are sensational. He's big and he's strong and he can hold off defenders, turn them and facilitate with accuracy. He also busts it on the defensive end, pressuring opponents and showing he is a true box-to-box midfielder.

[player_tooltip player_id='146794' first='Renden' last='Thomas'], LAFC

Thomas is another incredible player for LAFC, as the midfield is special within this academy. Thomas likes to push up, likes to go fast and has the skills to create and score. With excellent fast-twitch movements, and the ability to change direction, he can free up space and all he needs is a sliver of separation to get a shot on goal. He can use either foot, displaying next level technical skills with his right and left, and he likes to turn defenders and fire with his left foot, showing off his excellent finishing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='146748' first='Saulo' last='Tejeda'], San Diego Surf

Tejeda is a player that makes it look so easy, and he's so smooth, you wonder if he's even moving at 100 percent. Movements on the pitch come so natural to him as it looks like second nature. He shows fantastic touch, as he can receive a ball and it will stay right at his feet, and when he moves with the ball, it's like he glides. He picks the right passes, does so with precision and ease and he can make people miss as well. He's not super shifty, but he is deceptively agile and quicker than one would think.

These five midfielders, who only finished their freshman year in high school recently, are exceptional. They are the exceptionally talented and gifted to where when you watch them, you know you're seeing something special. The sky is the limit for these five players who all have serious ambitions in the world of soccer.
