Saturday night was the third consecutive OT match in the 3A title game with New Trier and St. Charles North squaring off this time. Unlike the previous two years, this game saw fireworks right out the gate. Just 6 minutes in, freshman forward [player_tooltip player_id='109141' first='Addy' last='Randall'] volleyed home a cross to give New Trier the early lead. This lead would last nearly 30 mins until SCN's Julia Park tied the game just before half.

With 24 mins left in regulation, [player_tooltip player_id='109141' first='Addy' last='Randall'] scored from 30-yards out to regain the Trevian lead. This lead would hold until the final minute of play, where SCN was awarded an indirect kick inside the opponents box. Laney Stark hammered home a short pass into the top of the net, sending the game to OT. The Stars got their first lead of the game when Junior F Kaitlin Glenn scored 4 mins into OT. But again, there was a response. New Trier's Charlotte Dellin headed home a corner kick three minutes later. New Trier would win in a sudden death shootout after an [player_tooltip player_id='109142' first='Annie' last='Fowler'] save.
