DuPage Valley Conference Preview

Naperville Central and Naperville North is a big rivalry surrounded by talents like Neuqua Valley, Metea Valley, Waubonsive Valley, and DeKalb. Naperville North is the reigning Champs and third-place finishers. They had to go through Naperville Central in the Sectional Final last season, making this upcoming DVC competition a mouthwatering conference. Below are a few players to watch that will command the DVC. He's expected to be an important figure again during his Junior year. It's obvious he's a good defender, does not allow any player to turn, always closes down space and does it quickly. Hess has good positioning off the ball, and while he lacks pace, he is intelligent in his movement to compensate. His physicality is great, and he's a presence in the back. He is a complete striker in terms of his abilities and what he can do. Radeke can run in behind, get the ball at his feet, run well with the ball, and be a target player to play off of. He's got a good pace and uses his body well to retain the ball. Calm and composed in front of the goal, he can finish. He presses well and quickly, and he knows how to shut down spaces and angles consistently. Has a good work rate and sacrifices for the team. When attacking, Jaxon is a great threat. He has a quick pace, and good dribbling ability. He is patient when looking to go 1v1, and uses his spaces well but knows when to slow the game down. He lacks a physical presence but makes up for it with his speed, intelligence, and good runner with the ball which makes him hard to dispossess. He has good positioning off the ball, is normally in the necessary areas to receive the ball, and distributes quickly. He uses his body well and hardly gets dispossessed.
