LV Heat Surf SC 4 - 2 Louisville City Academy - A crazy affair that saw lead changes, an early sending off, and a comeback by the team down a man to eventually take control and win the match outright.

Flickinger bagged two goals in this match, one in each half, and stamped himself on this game from the first whistle. His opportunities were well taken and advantageous during the match, and his team being down a man didn't stop him from being a menace all across the front line and in the middle and attacking thirds. A man of the match performance pushed his team firmly into the Final.

Sullivan's effort were top notch and he stepped up extremely well when his team went down to ten men. His effort and hustle intensified and he put on a display creating chance after chance to end the first half before assisting on both of his teams' second half goals. This player is a handful and a half and will be tough to stop on Thursday.

Travis was a nuisance throughout the first half, flitting in between the lines and finding open parcels of space to tuck into and receive passes to go forward. This effort had a dynamic effect on the match, and he turned that into an advantage by bagging Louisville's first goal to tie the match at 1.

Benaly really shone leading up to this match, and he once again put on a performance even if the result wasn't the best for him and his quad. He dominated the left wing for the entirety of the first half, combining to spring his teammates and cutting inside after marauding down the touchline, drawing defenders to find passes in behind or lacing shots on goal when he was offered space. One of his efforts took the keeper by surprise and saw his team take a 2-1 lead in the match.

Gurrola kept Surf in this match on his own, making at least 7 saves in the second half, a number of the from point blank range, to stymie the potent Mustang SC offense and lead his team back to another National Final. His reflexes and reactions were on full display as he pushed away, several headers and parried or smothered a number of driven shots. His size and ability made for a ferocious combatant against the opposition, and it paid dividends by the final whistle.

Espinoza played as a center back for this particular match, and what a decision it turned out to be. He was active and engaged in every play that came his direction, winning chance after chance both in the air and on the ground. He was quick to close space, deny a player to turn, and stick a foot in for quality tackles that saw his opponents lose possession. Beyond his defending, when in possession, he was quality finding his teammates with solid passes and putting them in positions to go forward and attack.

Ambrus-Aiklin had a solid match, but one play turned the game on it's head and showed the capability within this young man. His forward run in the second half look destined to be stamped out by the Mustang defenders, but it took a strange bounce and popped up. This caused the defense to try and play it in the air, and Ambrus-Aiklin took his chance, flicking it past his marker, allowing it to trail over his head, and then executed a perfect scissors kick in mid-air to find the top left corner of the goal and put his team up 1, a lead which they would not relinquish.

Rajecki had another standout game, playing as a do-all outside back. He found several ways to attack the Surf defense, traipsing down the wing with ease, combining in the middle with his midfielders to get forward, and then dangerous long balls cross field that regularly found his teammates feet and heads. His efforts set up Mustangs' only goal, and he could easily been player of the match had it not been for the winning wonder strike.
