Unranked Standouts Shine at Prep Soccer ID Camp So Cal

Glendale, California - The Prep Soccer Girls ID Camp: So Cal was held on Saturday at the Glendale Sports Complex. The event featured players from all over the West Coast with a few new names making a name for themselves at the event in front of a handful of college coaches.    Check out some of the standouts from the unranked prospects in the 2026 and 2027 class at the event.    [player_tooltip player_id='112415' first='Finley' last='Maynard'] was the top performer among goalkeepers at the Camp. She previously played for Slammers, but is moving over to Pateadores for next season. The shot-stopper impressed the coaches during every training circuit for the goalkeepers. She impressed me with an outrageous save during the goalkeeper training session with a diving full extension effort. The moment of brilliance continued throughout the day as she made save after save including in the shooting exercise when she looked nearly impossible to beat. Her play in the short-sided games was key to her team's success as she took on feedback and helped keep the group organized. In the full field game, she came up with big saves once again - and then showed off her footwork on the field as a fill-in player. Maynard's got the mentality and quality to be a top level goalkeeper.     The report on Hirakawa from the coaches on staff was that it's hard to find a left-footed player with her type of skill and composure on the ball. There aren't many players out there who move like Hirakawa. She is smooth, incisive, and elusive. Hirakawa showed her agility in dribbling out of tight spaces in the possession game. She also impressed during the full field scrimmage as she skated around defenders with her nimble footwork. Hirakawa's technical prowess made her one of the top performers of the day.     Grey was a breakout star from the event. The defender was one of the top performers from outside of the ECNL at the event. She really shined in the full-sided games when she showed she could play as a center back or an outside back. There was a moment in one of the games when she jumped over an opponent to win a header and cleared it half way down the field. Grey also showed great recovery speed with a couple key interceptions and tackles. Grey is a player with excellent tenacity and effort who responded really well to the coaching on site.     Testi was terrific during the skills and technical portion of the day. The So Cal Blues standout showed off her high level quality that would impress any coach and drew the attention of all the scouts on site. Testi impressed during the small-sided games too with her ability to connect passes and split the lines of the defense.     The goalkeeper position was stacked at the event with a number of ranked and national teal level players in that one position. Tamparong was one of the best. She impressed meddling the full-side games. She made three saves in the game early on that were excellent. The goalkeeper coaches on site also pointed how well she did during the individual training.     Phillips is a player who earned quite a reputation for her contributions at the high school level. The forward brought that quality to the event on Saturday. She is a center forward who can impact the game in a variety of ways. She is good in the link up play, does well with her back to the goal, and has a knack for pinning the defender on her hip when she faces goal. Phillips has endless potential and should be a top target from the Southern California region in the 2026 class for that reason.
