With the high school season ready to kick off in Massachusetts, these eight players, all rising juniors and sophomore, are ready to announce themselves. They are all talented players with great ability, and are looking to make their profile even greater with a good performance this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='181712' first='Zoe' last='Antebi'], Outside Defender, Newton North, Class of 2026

Photo: Erin Antebi

Antebi is an outside defender, who can play on either side, but plays on the left, for the most part. She takes her defensive duties as seriously as she does her responsibilities in the attack. She gets back and will cover for her center backs, coming into the box to make a challenge or clear a ball. She's hyper aware and vigilant in her defensive responsibilities. She pushes up well and and is a ball winner helps transition quickly as she can send a ball one touch, or she can possess. She shows the clever ability to switch feet and get past defenders, or use her agility and quickness to get past on the dribble. She has a powerful shot from range, and whips in accurate crosses into the box. She plays her club with Seacoast United. She is also working incredibly hard to get back from a knee injury, one that required surgery, and is determined to come back better and stronger.

Kaylee Barrett, Attacking Midfielder, Lynnfield High, Class of 2027

Barrett shows patience in receiving the ball in space. She doesn't give up the space she has when she's surrounded by defenders because she understands that she has enough space to receive the ball, even to let it run a little. She also has confidence in her ability to deliver a perfectly weighted pass to someone making a run off of her after she receives the ball in the middle. She also possesses and incredibly gifted shot from range, scoring quite frequently from distance. Clever, patient and quick, this New England FC player is a force.

[player_tooltip player_id='168118' first='Maggie' last='Blosser'], Central Midfielder, Masconomet Regional High, Class of 2027

Blosser is a box-to-box midfielder who is becoming more and more confident and capable as a scorer. She can operate well in traffic, she can split defenders and exploit openings and she can finish with great ability. She's quite excellent with the ball at her feet. She also takes pride in the other end, too as she is a road block in the center of the pitch with her ability to step into passing lanes and win 50/50 balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='110825' first='Elizabeth' last='George'], Attacking Midfielder, Medfield High, Class of 2026

When George is in the No. 10 spot, she is like a runaway train, because she comes at you fast. When her team is not in possession, she anticipates well and steps in front of a pass and helps transition in lightning quick fashion. And boy, can she run. When she is moving downhill, she is a sight to see. She carries the ball so well at top speed, consistently out-running defenders. She has great vision and the ability to play a ball into tight space and split defenders. She can also play as No. 11 and can really put defenders to shame as she uses her quickness and advanced foot skills to make space and to get around. She finishes well, but plays unselfishly. She's a player to watch in the 2026 class and she plays her club for Scorpions.

Samuel Goncalves, Attacking Midfielder, Stoneham High, Class of 2026

Goncalves is a New England FC club player, and he is a do-it-all type of No. 10, not just one who wants to get downhill and forsakes all other duties. He will sink back deep and help the rest of the midfield and defenders by challenging for a ball, or coming to make himself available as an option. He is a quick and shifty midfielder, who can make defenders miss with change of direction, or he can use his speed to get by. He plays a nice through ball between center backs and also can drift out wide and deliver an on-point cross. He is a phenomenal free kick taker, and a keeper needs to be on his toes when he steps up to the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='168111' first='Brenna' last='Gregorski'], Central Midfielder, Loomis Chaffee, Class of 2027

Gregorski is a ball-winning, ball-hawking No. 8. She always seems to find herself in a good position to make an impact and to be involved. She seems hyper aware and vigilant when on the pitch, seeming to be a move ahead of everyone and displaying an advanced understanding of the game. She's a good facilitator of the ball, showing good patience and passing ability and is a key player for whatever team she is on, including her club, FC Stars.

Jess Marino, Keeper, Dexter Southfield High, Class of 2026

Marino seems to have lightning-quick reflexes, making more point-blank saves than you would expect anyone to be able to. Just because you get in on her in a 1v1 does not mean you will be able to put the ball away, because she reacts so quickly. She's also very brave and will come out on an attacking player quickly and close down. She gets lateral very well and covers a lot of space in the air, making it harder for attacking players to find a sliver of space to try and squeeze the ball between the posts. She is a tremendously athletic keeper who has good hands and positions herself well. She plays club for South Shore Select.

Sidney Nunes, Forward, Dedham High, Class of 2026

Nunes is a forward who plays club for New England Surf who is a very physically and technically gifted player. She shows very great speed going forward, but also shows the ability to use that speed laterally and get into clever little pockets of space. She understands space as well, knowing where to be, knowing how to use it and knowing how not to crowd other teammates. She is a strong player as well, a forward who is not afraid of contact. In terms of her technical ability, she's good on the ball, especially under pressure and operates well in tight areas. With an ability to read the game, and with an advanced understanding, Nunes is a player to watch from the 2026 class in the Northeast.

With the high school season ready to kick off in Massachusetts, these eight players, all rising juniors and sophomore, are ready to announce themselves. They are all talented players with great ability, and are looking to make their profile even greater with a good performance this fall.
