If she sees space in front of her, she exploits it with aggression. She is fast and she moves the ball so quickly, playing excellent 1-2 soccer as she loves to play the ball on the floor and ping it back and forth, loosening up the defense. She has great creative vision, she understands the game at a very deep level and you can see how cool and composed she is. Her tactical awareness is only topped by her technical ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='189261' first='Deanna' last='Romero'], Palm Beach Garden Predators, Class of 2026

Photo: [player_tooltip player_id='159987' first='Phoebe' last='Apple']

I've previewed Romero before, but after re-watching her film some new things stood out. She is a versatile player who can feature in the midfield as well, though she does mostly play forward. She was praised for her agility in June, but she is actually incredibly savvy as well. She creates well from either position as she can move the ball and then she moves off the ball immediately after distributing the ball. With the ability to use either foot, she can play a ball from anywhere and in any direction, and she can drive and score goals from all over the pitch.

[player_tooltip player_id='112115' first='Peyton' last='Thomas'], Forward/Midfielder, Jacksonville FC, Class of 2026

Thomas can play as a forward, but also play as a No. 10 and she is incredible from that spot. She's very creative and shows great vision. I like the decisions she makes and the weight of which she puts on her balls played forward. She weaves in and out of traffic excellently, showing great agility. She's a physical player, adding that to her toolbox, as she will fight and challenge for every ball. She is good at finding space and occupying it or finding her teammates in space.

[player_tooltip player_id='176423' first='Kendall' last='Trimiar'], Forward/Midfielder, Florida Elite Soccer Academy, Class of 2027

Trimiar is an impressive player as she is lightning quick. She has a burst that you don't see from a lot of players as she can reach top end speed very quickly as she routinely out-paces defenders. She can play anywhere up top or as an attacking midfielder. She is great with the ball at her feet, and something she does that I really like is, because she has great speed, is she pushes the ball far out in front and uses her speed to separate knowing she will get to the ball first. She is a clinical finisher, and she sends an excellent right-footed cross into the box.

These players from Florida are not just midfielders, and they aren't just forwards. They are players who can play in the midfield and have the attacking prowess of a forward. Some of them play forward as well, showing versatility in terms of position and the ability they offer.
