However, there are some names that will creep up the list as the season goes, because these five players are talented and are going to start gaining notice this fall with their clubs and this winter during the school season. Baldovinos is an athletic keeper with great shot stopping range and shows great command of his box. He has great presence and great poise as he acts as a leader and as an organizer. He is a very talented keeper with the ball at his feet as he distributes well and starts the build up from the back. Gilmore is very big keeper and he is very hard to beat from range because of his coverage from post-to-post and because of how he can protect the roof of goal as well. He is also hard to beat from close range because he uses his size and uses his understanding of angles to close out on attackers quickly. He's very vocal, very active and will be a riser this season. Reyes is as cool and composed as it gets. He plays with a calm demeanor, but is vocal when he needs to be and leads by example. He is very well-rounded as he is a solid shot stopper, shows good technical skills in his ability to play a ball at his feet, and to drop an accurate pass when he distributes. He has good footwork and good recognition of what the attacking player is going to do. Ruy's passion and energy for the game is very obvious from the first time you see him. He plays with determination and he plays with a lot of grit. It also helps that he is exceptionally talented. He is one of the fastest keepers in Northern California in terms of his reactions to a shot or an attacker coming into the area. He pounces, and does so quickly. He can cover well in the air as he is good at taking away the near post and using his athleticism to cover the far post. He comes out quickly, and does so aggressively to where an attacker has to make a decision, and they usually get out of the way because Ruy comes like a freight train. He's a fantastic shot stopper, he does not spill the ball and his positioning is top notch. Silva is a player with very good range. He has good size and a good wingspan, but his range is helped greatly by his quick-twitch reaction and his positioning. He shows an advanced understanding and an intelligence that allows him to process what is in front of him quickly. He is very much a modern day keeper as he is comfortable with the ball at his feet and shows good distribution.
