Six prospects to know from the Georgia 2028 rankings

Below is a scouting report on some of the players to know from this class ranking.    Left center back on Concorde Fire Platinum 2010 ECNL. Tenacity, aggressive, and a competitior. Melhuish brings a dogged determination to the center back position. She is committed to making the tackle to help her team win. She went into every tackle and kept control of the point of contact so she could come away with the ball cleanly. Melhuish's enthuasism shows up on game film as it was obvious she relished the challenge of playing against the best this past season. She is developing into an asset in possession and shows good instincts with her decision-making on the ball.     Korhone is a talented midfielder on the UFA 09 ECNL team. She is a versatile player who can make an impart at any spot on the field. The high work rate and unlimited energy stood out from her performance at the ECNL playoffs. Korhone is a good finisher and often finds the back of the net from shots from outside of the box. Her activity on the field and contributions in the final third make her a standout from this class.     Box to box midfielder. Physical profile of a player who could be a big time star at the next level. Good activity level. Right footed. Can be a bit too eager in her passing attempts, which contributes to some giveaways. She does good work in her footwork before receiving the ball to set herself up for success on the ball. She checks shoulders, adjust body shape, and has a good first touch on the ball. Rushing looks to be a key player for the Concorde Fire Platinum side and a player that could be a star in the Southeast for a long time.     Moore is another player who is putting together a great summer - from the postseason into the preseason. She is a defensive midfielder who puts in a tackle with conviction and authority. There is no passive moments when Moore is on the field. She is going to look for opportunities to make a mark on the game with her outstanding defensive qualities. She is a solid player on the ball. There is not a ton of flash to her game, but the beauty is that she makes plays that let her teammates shine. She is one of the players in the rankings that everyone wants to play with because she does the thankless work for everyone else and then gets the ball off her feet quickly.     I think that outside backs are sometimes overlooked in their contributions but it's hard to deny Greer's value to her team. The right back was exceptional during the ECNL playoffs and looks like she has been in top form during the preseason too. She is a shutdown outside back with excellent technique in the duel. More of her highlights are in the attack as she can deliver a perfect cross with consistency. There is a lot to like about the potential for Greer at the next level.     Higginbotham is probably a new name for most scouts, and a great discovery from the in-depth dive into this class. She isn't on the traditional pathway for top recruits at this point, but there is plenty of reason to believe she will end up as one of the top players from this group in the future. The midfielder has some impressive highlights out there. An effortless runner with top end pace, she covers ground in a hurry. She is a powerful player on the ball too - defenders bounce off of her. Higginbotham is a player we will watching more this season as her upside in undeniable.
