Rising Illinois 2027 Prospects: Top Talents for Scouts to Watch

White is a midfielder on the Rockford Raptors 09 ECNL team. She previously played for FC 1974 Elite (GLSA) at the 08 age group. She was a two-time All-Regional League honoree while playing up an age group. White is a box-to-box midfielder or an attacking midfielder. She has a high work rate and a lot of upside in the activity level she brings in the center of the field. The piercing runs she makes off the ball have been a bright spot of the Rockford attack. She is right footed, but a capable crosser and finisher with her left. White is a 2027 who could rapidly rise in the rankings as she continues to impress this season.     DiTomasso is a midfielder on the Chicago Empire FC Girls team and on the varsity squad at Hinsdale Central. She is an attacking midfielder, right footed, and a talented dribbler. DiTomasso is the top talent from outside the ECNL and GA in Illinois. She has been included in multiple US Soccer Talent ID events. She is a fun player to watch as she is a magician with the ball. The midfielder slaloms through opponents regularly - and even at the high school level. She is capable of hitting the top corner of the net regularly from 30 yards out from the run of play. She is an excellent playmaker when the defense steps up to take away the shot. She hits passes that no other player in this class would see. She has top level potential. She needs to improve on checking her shoulders before receiving the ball. She turns blindly a bit too often and it will get punished as she climbs toward the pro game. She gets away with it now thanks to her nimble footwork and close control of the ball.     LePage is a forward on the Rockford Raptors 09 ECNL. She is off to a hot start to the season at the ECNL level. She is a powerful winger who gets in behind the defense with her pace and soccer smarts. There is a part of her game that reminds me of Seattle Sounders star Jordan Morris. It feels like she has a similar running style and some fanatic approach when she gets the ball at her feet. LePage is going to be a top target in this class.     Zillman is a goalkeeper on the Rockford Raptors 09 ECNL team. She has been excellent at the start of the ECNL season. She previous played for SC Wave. She moved to Raptors this season. She is included in the Illinois ranking because we use a player's club team location for the state ranking. Zillman is a decorated prospect. She was part of the ODP team at the state level in Wisconsin. She was a star for her high school team as a freshman. She has the potential to be a top recruit in this class at a national level. She displays a ton of confidence on the field and it elevates the play of her teammates. She is capable of making the save that will decide a game. Zillman might be a new name to some scouts, but she is sure to be a name that gets a lot of attention during the 2024/2025 season.     Gallagher is a defender on the FC United 09 GA team. She plays in the center of the defense. She was named as the MVP of the Tournament during the Girls Academy playoffs as she led her side to the National Championship. Gallagher is a fluid athlete who is a leader on the field. She is the last line of defense for FC United, but she doesn't sit back. She is willing to step into a duel. She is an excellent defender. Gallagher's distribution is solid, but she did have some wayward passes during the GA Playoffs on the slick turf at the facility. There's plenty of quality to her game to suggest she will be a top defender in this class.     Kane is a defender on the Galaxy 08 GA team. She was part of the Girls Academy National Talent ID event. She is capable of playing outside back and center back. Kane does a lot of the little things extremely well. She doesn't tend to produce a ton of highlight plays, but that's a function of her doing her job well before there is a need to do anything flashy. She anticipates that play and moves before anyone else sees the flow of play. Watching Kane off the ball from game film is a great place to scout. She is a tireless worker in the smartest possible way as she scans and adjusts her positioning constantly. Kane has the quality to be a top center back for the college level.     Klein is a defensive midfielder on the FC United 09 GA team. She is a disruptive force in the center of the field. Standing at six-foot, she is easy to spot on the field, but hard for the defense to navigate around. Klein is active defensively and gets her feet into a number of duels. She usually wins the ball cleanly. She has a preference to get her outside backs involved as an outlet. She tends to play quickly and get the ball off her feet to facilitate the play. Klein's physical stature will attract the attention of scouts as there aren't many tall players who moves as well as she does. Her skill on the ball will earn her a spot at the next level.     Novak is a forward on FC United. She was part of the team that won the GA U15 National Championship last season. She is playing up with the 08s this season. She has been invited to multiple US Soccer Talent ID events. Novak is right footed, speed, and skillful. She is an ideal candidate as a support striker or a winger. She has a very accurate shot with nearly perfect accuracy. She can play on either side of the formation. She hits an excellent cross and does well with the timing of her pass. Novak is a top forward in this class and a player all scouts should know.
