US Soccer identifies top 2011/2010 talent in FL

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>US Soccer hosted a Talent Identification Center in Fort Lauderdale at the end of September in the 2010 and 2011 age groups. These events are held to bring the top talent in key markets together for a one-day training event under the eye of US Soccer scouts.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The event in Florida featured talent from MLS Next, ECNL, and other local clubs. Check out the rosters for the 2010 and 2011 age groups at the bottom of the page. He can play on either side of the formation. I've seen him more on the left wing. He does have the technical skills with his left foot to drag the ball and take the defender to the end line, but he is right footed. Veves wears the captain's armband for his club team during some games. He is a leader on the field. He plays with his head up and is a play maker in the final third. Veves has been excellent in recent games with his creative play creating chances for his team. He can play as a box-to-box midfielder or as a defensive midfielder. I think his future is as a defensive midfielder. Marttos impressed me from recent games with his approach off the ball. He is always scanning off his shoulders and adjusting his body to face the field. He is smart about his decisions and knows where is going with the ball before he receives it. Russo is a deserving call-up to this. He is a right back. He possesses some elite attributes for the position. Quick burst and a strong lower body. Russo is a tough player for players to get past. He plays with a ton of swagger. He likes to gamble in the transition moments of the game to create numerical advantages for his team. He relies on his pace to recover if he is wrong in his choice. He is an exceptional talent for the position. He already has good size and athleticism. He is capable of making the game-deciding save routinely. He reads the game well and covers off his line at the right time. He has good hands and secures the ball clearly in traffic. He is an attacking midfielder who pulls the strings for his side. Kreisler has been a standout at the club level for some time and a key part of the stellar Miami Rush 2010 age group. He is skillful on the ball and plays with a ton of confidence. He has been exceptional this season. He is one of the top players in the league. Great first touch, dynamic on the ball, pace to get behind the defense, Vargas has all the tools to be an unstoppable force on the wing. He's a talented finisher as well. His defensive skills could use some improvement, but the effort and willingness to defend has made a big impact for his team.
