Northeast Uncommitted Best XI - 2026s

The college recruitment for the 2026 class has been at a non-stop pace for the past few months. The current junior group has seen hundreds of talented players give their verbal commitments to college programs.   However, there are still hundred of players out there who are equally as talented, but just waiting for the right opportunity. Below is a look at eleven players from the Northeast who deserve some attention from this group. These players were uncommitted as of Nov. 15 - based on either information provided by the player or their social media pages.    GK [player_tooltip player_id='101662' first='Sienna' last='Goldstein'], STA - Goldstein is a top player in the Northeast. She has been selected for the Girls Academy National Talent ID event twice as well as US Soccer Talent ID events three times. She started the club season on a high note with some dazzling displays at the PDA Showcase. She has good hands and quick reflexes. She's been a leader for her club team for some time and should be counted one as a leader at the next level.      D Emma Burns, NLSA - Burns is an outside back who was named to the ECNL All-Regional League team last season. She has a great change of pace and regularly beats players 1v1 off the dribble. She's a solid defender. She moves her feet well and stays in front of the attacker. She blocks passes and crosses with her anticipation and ability to close space. Burns offers a consistent presence at outside back as she plays at a high level in every game.      D Krist Deutsch, SUSA - Deutsch is a right center back for the SUSA 07 ECNL team. She enjoyed a stellar high school season for East Islip. Deutsch impressed with her aerial duel prowess. She gets into the challenge and leaps over the opponent. She is a weapon on set pieces for the same reason. I believe she scored seven goals this season at the high school level - and should be able to hit similar numbers at the club level. Deutsch's closing speed is another strength of her game. She's got a quick burst in short distances and jumps on bad touches. The SUSA standout looks to be one of the top center backs from the region.      D [player_tooltip player_id='110841' first='Ella' last='Burkholder'], World Class FC - Two-time ECNL All-Conference player and US Soccer Talent ID invitee, Burkholder brings quite the club accolades to this list. Her game film backs up her awards. She is a right center back. Her strength are in the 1v1 game. She can man-mark the best center forwards thanks to her quickness and athleticism. Burkholder is right footed and delivers a great ball in the service to the forwards. She had a number of key passes to create chances for her teammates during the club and high school season. Burkholder's well-rounded     D [player_tooltip player_id='171890' first='Sophia' last='Barresi'], New Jersey Crush - Barresi is a center back, but she has the positional range to play outside back as well. She was an All-Regional League selection for her play in the ECNL RL last season. She impressed with her ball-winning skills and anticipation of the play. Barresi's recent play at the high school level also showed how good she is at center back. She's done a bit of everything including scoring goals. The NJ Crush standout should be a top target among the defenders.      M [player_tooltip player_id='101637' first='Anna' last='Gominiak'], STA - Gominiak is a defensive midfielder who is one of the most impactful players at the club level. She is also one of the top ranked uncommitted players in our New Jersey state rankings for the 2026 class. She is a terrific defender - active in the tackle, strong in the duel, and a fierce competitor. She backs it up with excellence in possession as well. She makes quick decisions on the ball and accurate passes. Gominiak should be a top target for scouts to watch in the Girls Academy.      M Hannah Morse, South Shore Select - Morse is a midfielder who can really do it all. She's also a track star too - 400m. She has been a standout at the Girls Academy level. She would be an ideal No. 8 for the next level. She covers ground, puts in tackles, and can finish chances too. Morse is an exceptional talent and frankly a surprise she isn't a cornerstone piece for a program already.      M [player_tooltip player_id='275994' first='Gia' last='Asen'], New York Soccer Club - Asen is a midfielder on the New York Soccer Club. She was also a member of the Girls Academy Northeast Talent ID event last season. Asen's strengths are a bit more subtle than other standouts in this class. She is a slippery player in the sense she is hard to mark with how she moves off the ball and how she deceives the opponent with the timing of her slip passes. Asen is a skillful midfielder who regularly creates chances with her soccer smarts.      F - [player_tooltip player_id='111741' first='Savanna' last='Biehler'], WNY Flash - Biehler scored 33 goals as a junior for Fairport. You won't find that kind of output among uncommitted talent pretty much anywhere else. She is a speedy striker who can play 1v4 - and did so many times during the high school season. When the ball is at her feet, watch out because Biehler is getting to the goal in a hurry. She's a vastly improved over the past season. The pace is obviously mesmerizing, but the additional aspect of playmaking and scoring from set pieces really makes her a triple threat. She is an under discovered gem from this class.      F [player_tooltip player_id='275998' first='Eliza' last='Derito'], Syracuse DA - I think you could play Derito in a number of spots on the field. She's a great soccer player at the end of the day. I'm listing her as a forward after her high school campaign where she seemed unstoppable in that role. Derito can finish with either foot. She's strong on the ball and keeps close control of the ball. She works well as a forward in a 4-4-2 as she gets into the right spots to score the goal. Derito has track speed too as she competes in the 400m and 800m.      F [player_tooltip player_id='275996' first='Brooke' last='Huleatt'], Quickstrike FC 08 - Huleatt is on a hot streak for club and high school. She named to the ECNL RL All-Conference for her play at that level last season. She followed it up with All-Section team honor from this past high school season. She can play any spot in the attack. I thought when she played on the left wing at Jefferson Cup it showed her potential in that role at the college level. Her quick burst and skill is difficult for outside backs to stop. Huleatt should be getting more looks from this class.
