MLSNext Fest Day 3 – 09s shine bright on Sunday

The U16's had their first wave of games which was fun as the parent energy around the complex was much higher today then it was yesterday and the day before. He scored two goals for Intercontinental Football Academy against a very strong SF Glen's team that I am very familiar with. His close control and hesitation moves were really fun to watch. The Santa Barbara Soccer Club striker is a physical specimen who holds the ball up really well and is excellent at flicking the ball on to his teammates. He has the ability to stay on the last defender to hold the ball up, run in behind, as well as drop deep and facilitate from midfield. He can turn on a dime and draws a lot of fouls. His timing on his tackles are exceptionally precise. The weight of his passes when playing out of the back are excellent. He quarterbacks the offense extremely well and can play over the top accurately into the stride of his teammates. His defensive instincts are some of the best I've seen for his age group.
