He scored his first goal of the game off a one-on-one finish with the keeper, showing composure in his finishing. His second goal was a beauty, after the ball was knocked around the box for a bit Zeke timed a half-volley right into the bottom corner. He completed his tally with another half-volley from a cross into the box. A center mid who is quick to find his teammates at feet, as well as run into space to receive passes, Brennan possesses lots of good qualities for a midfielder. His defensive work-rate is high as well, often turning into the catalyst on attack after his team regains possession. He has all the tools you look for in a winger. Fast pace, quick feet, excellent crossing, he really is a multi-tool player. He also tracks back and defends frequently when his team is without possession, and will often press the opposing defenders and midfielders to win back possession. His dribbling skills were by far the best on the pitch, allowing Jose to either send crosses in or have some cracks at goal after beating the first defender. Jose also has a great first touch, as he can trap lots of long balls on his foot like there's a string attached to it. One of his best attributes is how he maintains his team possession when they have the ball. Either by playing smart passes, or shielding the ball away from defenders, Matias is a very high IQ midfielder. He is constantly scanning around the pitch for defenders and teammates, and knows what he wants to do before he receives the ball. Since the Lions were on the back foot for a majority of the game he didn't have many opportunities in front of goal, but I can see him scoring and assisting plenty of goals for the Lions in his upcoming senior season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
