Quartet of new standouts from Georgia's 2027 rankings

<p>The Prep Soccer state ranking for Georgia's 2027 class was released this week. Check out<a href="https://prepsoccer.com/georgia/rankings/girls/2027-rankings/"> the rankings here.</a> Learn more <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/how-we-rank/">about the ranking process here</a>. </p>   <p>Read a scouting report on four players who stood out to scouts from their soccer intelligence and high upside in the most recent class ranking. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Blackwell is a defender on the [program_tooltip program_id='278059' first='GSA' last='ECNL'] team. She plays left center back for her club team. She's got the pace and athleticism to match up against the top forwards in the country. Blackwell has been impressive this season with her composure on the ball. She's shown off some dribbling skills with her quick cuts and close control of the ball. She's right footed, but comfortable with the ball on either foot - and hits a good pass with her left as well. Blackwell has some elite traits that should translate to the next level. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Allen might be the player with the highest upside on this list. She's a five-foot-nine midfielder/forward. I think she's an attacking midfielder or box-to-box midfielder at the next level. She's a better goal-scorer than most of her peers in that same position group. The way she sees the field and the movements she makes off the ball continuously set her up for success, which is usually a key trait for predicting success at the next level. Allen has been on a hot streak this season and could be one of the players who jumps up the rankings the most during the club postseason events if she keeps playing at this level for the rest of 2025. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwXkwyn7ijQ </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">One of the most skillful and impactful players in the Girls Academy, [player_tooltip player_id='275346' first='Liliana' last='Martinez'] is having a breakout season for SSA. She's been nearly unstoppable with her play in the final third. A dynamic attacking talent who is good on the dribble and surgical with her dribbling, Martinez has shown she can create chances and finish chances with the best of them in the GA. She's a captain for her club team. I don't think she ever comes off the field for her team. She's a leader for that group and an integral part of the fabric of the squad. She's sharp on the ball - quick to make decisions and accurate with her passing. She's right footed. She is a willing tackler and dictates the game with her play at the No. 6 spot. Heathcock's tactical brilliance is a strong point of her game and a reason she should be on the radar for scouts. </p>
