Who stole the spotlight at Chicagoland Indoor Soccer?

Another day of action in the Chicagoland Indoor Soccer League wrapped up on Sunday which had multiple players shine on the pitch. Prep Soccer was there to catch the action in the match between AYSO 300 United 08/09 Boys Blue vs CSA 09 Boys which saw a 1-0 victory for CSA. Below are some of the standouts from the action.    A goalkeeper with a lot of quality, Amato provided 5 huge interventions and played a key role in providing the clean sheet for CSA. Amato's dedication to his saves on the pitch are linked to his strong mindset, in your confidence to make those saves. In regards to reactions during shots on his goal or headers, it's all in training for Amato in different goalie practices, and all the different trainings. Having played the game since he was like five years old, it's become a passion and he hopes to play in college and beyond.     CSA were able to win 1-0 in this matchup against AYSO 300, a goal provided by the efficiency in front of the net by Newell. Newell practices on his finishing with the mindset on practicing with high intensity, but also putting practices outside the designated practices from outside on his own getting touches on the left foot and repetition is key. Having played soccer since two years-old, there's no question of his love for the game and for Newell the goal is to play college wanting to get those higher levels.     Newell's goal was the goal that gave the win for CSA, but Carlson's pass was just as important to achieve the victory. Carlson practices frequently to be accurate on those passes, but also to be a threat on goal, as he plays striker on his high school team. Carlson focuses on going outside on his free time and in practice he works a lot on passing drills. Midfield is a very demanding role in terms of conditioning and speed, which is why Carlson also does track as well. He has played since third grade and his main goal is to play college.     Not a goalscorer, but an influential player on the pitch, Mason Savage played a huge role in the defensive side of the pitch, winning all his duels, especially in the final seconds of the match to secure the win. He makes it very difficult for players to get in behind him, keeping the play in front of him the whole game. Savage is a huge asset for any team, playing a huge role in defense.     Apart from Savage, Owen Nordenberg partners him as the defensive pairing and Nordenberg also had a huge performance against AYSO 300. He's strong. His physical presence is something to look at, a very solid player for any team. A great pairing with Savage on the defensive end and like a savage, he's a huge asset for any team.
