Maryland forwards to watch next fall

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are coming to the end of club season in Maryland. The state playoffs are in full swing, the final league games are being played. Over the course of the season, I was hunting for under the radar players, diamonds in the rough, and game changers that haven't been getting enough attention. She has elite speed and uses it to blow past OB and hook in at the goal, or will fire an accurate cross into the box at any time. Leg strength, she's got easy 30 yard range. Footwork, she can dance through a crowded midfield or win just about any 1v1. She's the type of player that you have to draw up your scheme just to stop her. On top of that, her soccer IQ, and intelligence on the field might be her best among several attributes, as she has great vision, and isn't shy about passing the ball off to a teammate to make a play. Break away speed has always been there, but 1v1 skills, managing stride to control shooting space, and developing the off-foot to shoot as well as the strong foot have all added to her bag of tricks. Spending some time at midfield has helped her develop some physicality that has only improved her game. Her speed, footwork and hustle down the line keeping balls in play, making crosses to make something out of nothing were all eye-catching. She showed an accurate, strong shot from the right side and good timing to find her shot mid stride. On the soccer field she's shown great footwork and vision from the forward spot, and has a talent for finding a shot in traffic. They say that shooters are a position all to themselves, and she most definitely fits that skill set, which is in high demand. One of the rare players to make varsity as a freshman, she has been a major goal scoring contributor in two years, including making it to the state title game this year. With the June 15th date approaching, she will have no shortage of interest on both the soccer and lacrosse side. With soccer, her speed, aggression, and knack for finding the net is going to have her at the top of team's shopping lists, and she's still not done developing yet, given two more years, the sky is the limit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
