Seven Top Talents Scouts Should from Georgia's 2028 Class

The Prep Soccer state rankings for the Georgia's 2028 class was updated this week. Below is a scouting report on seven new names to know from the rankings update.    Cass is a dynamic talent on the [program_tooltip program_id='283508' first='United' last='Futbol Academy'] 2010 ECNL team. She is listed as a forward on her player profile and she's been a prolific scorer as a striker at the club level. However, there is reason to buy into her versatility at the elite level. She can play as a midfielder or even as an outside back. She's physical, competitive, and skillful. She has been in top form at the start of the season.    Cass was excellent at the high school level last season as well. She was one of two freshman to make the Class 3A First Team for her stellar play with Oconee County.      Otto is a midfielder on the Tophat Gold GA 2010 team. She is a right-footed playmaker who can fill a variety of roles. She has a strong technical foundation. She has an excellent first touch. Her off-the-ball movement shoes a high tactical understanding. She does well with checking her shoulders away from the ball and keeping a constant snapshot of her surroundings. She has a burst of pace that gives her an advantage against the opposing midfielders and has resulted in quite a few goals this season with her beating her mark to the ball based on the speed. Otto is one of the standouts on the uber-talented Tophat 2010 team.      Hackney is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283748' first='Southern' last='Soccer Academy'] 2010 Girls Academy team. She plays as an attacking midfielder or a box-to-box midfielder. She is one of the captain's of her club team. She was also a standout at the high school level as a freshman last season.    Hackney's game is well-rounded. She does everything well. She's a physical presence in the center of the field. She is willing to get into the duel and uses her body well in confrontations.    Hackney has a strong right leg and can switch the point of attack quickly. She isn't reliant on the big cross-field pass. She does well in the combination play and keeps active off the ball to create passing lanes for her teammates.    Hackney's leadership shows up on game film and should make her an early contributor at the next level.      Senior is a defender/midfielder on the Tophat Gold GA 2010 team. She used to play for IMG Academy. She's a versatile player who can play a number of roles. She's been excellent as an outside back. She has a well-rounded game and is an excellent 1v1 defender.    Senior has been a valuable player for the Tophat squad, which was the 2025 National Champion in the Girls Academy.      Bridges is an outside back on the [program_tooltip program_id='283748' first='Southern' last='Soccer Academy'] 2010 Girls Academy team. She plays right back at the club level. She's got all the tools to be an elite defender at the college level. She's quick, aggressive, and plays with a ton of confidence.    Bridges immediately stood out from game film. She's a dominant force on the field. She's active getting forward and has elite recovery speed. She hits a wonderful pass and uses her vision to pick out teammates early.    Bridges is a top talent in the GA and should be on the radar for all scouts.      Powell is a midfielder on the Tophat Navy 09 GA team. She is an attacking midfielder who is an excellent playmaker off the pass. She keeps excellent balance on the ball and holds off defenders with her strength. She's good with either foot and capable of scoring from outside of the box.    Powell has been a bright spot at the start of the season with her dynamic play through the center of the field.      Fleming is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283748' first='Southern' last='Soccer Academy'] 2010 Girls Academy team. She covers a ton of ground in the game. She is an athletic player who has endurance. She makes quick decisions on the ball.    Fleming is listed as an outside back for her high school, North Atlanta. It's easy to see how she could be impactful in that role as well. She's a player who wants to compete in any role she takes on the field.    The aptitude and competitiveness will serve her well at the college level.
