US Soccer identifies top 2012s in Southern California

The event features some of the best players in Southern California from the 2012 age group (plus one from the 2013 age group). He is a strong, skillful player. He has the physical profile to be a top No. 9 in this class. El Tom stood out on game film for the way he approaches the game. He is clever and tries to solve problems rather than use brute force. He is a crafty player - he will earn his team chances through set pieces by drawing fouls or getting a corner kick out of a situation that most forwards would've quit on. He is a hard worker in the press and does well in setting up traps for his side in cutting out passing angles. On the ball, he can hold off defenders and be a key piece in the build-up. He keeps close control of the ball and can get a shot off quickly. He is a good finisher with either foot. He can do a bit of everything with the athleticism to cover any spot on the field. McAdam is a competitive player who has set the tone in the midfield for Fusion this season. He's impressed US Soccer scouts with his consistency from game to game as well as his tactical understanding. His first goal showcased his potential -  a toe drag at full speed against two defenders in order to create space and then a calm, collected finish for the goal as both defenders were left helpless. His ability to play one-touch has been a strong point of his game. He is comfortable at playing at a faster pace and thinks a play or two ahead at all times. Sanchez was excellent in the recent game against Strikers. He tends to play as the last line of the defense for his side and organize others around him. In possession, he is comfortable breaking pressure off the dribble and also excellent with his distribution.
