Girl’s College Commitment Grades Chapter 55

Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. Bohnak is an ECNL RL National Champion and tends to play mostly right back. She is a good passer and has great anticipation defensively. The Rangers are 8-7-2 with a chance to qualify to make the NCAA Tournament by winning the GLIAC Tournament which starts next week. She is a UFA product and Hebron High School standout. Very strong and already built like a top division 1 athlete. Needs to become a little more polished technically and tactically but has a high ceiling. The Bulldogs are 9-8-1 so far this season with a SWAC semi-final against Jackson State to look forward to. She's an excellent CF that can drop deep and facilitate as well as finish chances. Seems under the radar to me with no ranking. I think she is going to have a very successful collegiate career if she stays healthy. I always say a successful season in college soccer is a 10 win season and although Fordham did not make the tournament they did have a positive season. She had an excellent season for Northgate High School last season. Would love to see her sharpen up technically before she arrives on campus but has the engine to be a big time success for this program. The Cedar Stars product is a very shifty dribbler and solid overall athlete moving through space efficiently. Iona just finished up their season and will be eager to get into recruiting. She's a 1st team all-region selection at Pinnacle High School. The Royals ECNL product progresses the ball well in midfield, is strong in the air, and has an excellent soccer IQ. The Mead High School star is extremely powerful and certainly looks the part of a division 1 athlete. She is a Spokane Shadow product and is headed to one of the best conferences in college soccer the WCC as well as a Tigers program who has 1 more game left this season currently sitting at 4-8-6. Good club pedigree with Fairfax Virginia Union. She reads play well defensively always seems to know where the ball is going to be. She is very simple on the ball rarely takes more then 2 touches. The Raiders had an OK season finishing 9-6-4. The Patriot League is always very competitive and Hoover fits that profile.
