It was the Rams' fifth state title in program history. They most recently won the state crown in 2023, a 3-1 triumph over Wall in the final. The Cougars trailed 1-0 and 2-1 but were quick to respond. The only two scores of the game came within 25 seconds of each other, as [player_tooltip player_id='101493' first='Dina' last='Bojkovic'] scored first for Livingston at the 35:45 mark of the second half, and Cherokee's Abbie Zubrzycki responded with a goal at the 35:20 mark. The Lancers end their season with a 20-3-1 record and four postseason shutouts.
