<p>NORCO, California - The Girls Academy Winter Showcase and Champions Cup kicked off on Thursday from the Silverlakes Complex in Southern California. With over a hundred college scouts in attendance, there were plenty of standouts from the 2009 age group. Below is a look at the players who impressed Prep Soccer scouts from the games on Thursday. </p>

<p>Elle Moore, Tulsa SC - Moore was a standout in the Tulsa opening day game against California FA. She played with confidence. She showed that she can get forward and combine with teammates.</p>

<p>Lucy Hervert, Sporting Nebraska - Hervert scored a heck of a header on a corner kick from Abby Franco. She had the perfect placement on a flick that hit the top corner of the net. </p>

<p>Abby Franco, Sporting Nebraska - Beyond the set pieces, Franco stood out for her quality from the run of play. She made some excellent passes and did well keeping possession for her side. The center midfielder was a standout in the game against Century United. </p>

<p>Sterling Anderson, Sporting Nebraska - Anderson had a good performance at center back on Thursday. She did well staying in front of the attackers and winning duels. </p>

<p>Kosie McCabe, Sporting Nebraska - There was a clear shift in the pace of play when McCabe entered the game. She dictated the tempo and she saw that she could stretch the opponent if her squad played faster. It was a smart perception and helped her team secure a result. </p>

<p>Sage Stovall, [program_tooltip program_id='283674' first='Las' last='Vegas Sports Academy'] - Stovall is one of the more skillful center backs at the event. She's a clever passer and comfortable under pressure. She has a good understanding of the timing of her passes in order to draw a defender to her to create the advantage for a teammate. She did well defensively too. </p>

<p>Julia Shaw, [program_tooltip program_id='283674' first='Las' last='Vegas Sports Academy'] - Shaw showed off good footwork, strength on the ball, and the ability to consistently win 1v1 on the wing for her Las Vegas side on Thursday. </p>

<p>Lila Megyesi, Michigan Jaguars - Megyesi had a goal and an assist in the opening half in the victory over Spokane. She showed off her close control, dribbling skills, and finishing ability in the victory. </p>

<p>Alexa Barjas, Rhode Island Surf - The RI Surf star had some jaw-dropping moments in the game against Las Vegas SA. Her ability to finish with either foot was evident as she cut inside on her left and had an effort just miss. She is a big time talent. </p>
