Rankings Preview: Scouting Report on Top 2030s in Texas

The Prep Soccer 2030 Watch List for Texas will be released this week. Prior to unveiling the first ranking for this class, take a look at a scouting report on some of the top talent in the state.     Walker is a midfielder on the Solar 2011 ECNL team. She is also part of the US Soccer Youth National Team in the 2011 age group. She is a box-to-box midfielder with an unstoppable engine - she's a cross-country runner too. Walker has a good first touch and composure on the ball. She was excellent in the recent win against Indy Eleven as she broke the pressure with her distribution and movement off the ball. It's remarkable to see how much ground she covers in the average game.      Every time I watch the Solar 2012 squad, I come away with a new way of appreciating Peeders' game. She's a competitive center back who never quits on a play. The success of the Solar team has been a result of the determination and effort that Peeders brings in every game. Her quality has earned her attention from US Soccer scouts, and that should continue to be the case as she looks to be among the best of the best from Texas in the 2012 age group. She's excellent at using her body to get in front of the attacker. While attacking players are typically praised for knowing how to draw fouls, Peeders uses a lot of the same tactics successfully.      Webb is an attacking midfielder on the Sting Royal 2012 ECNL team. She has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She is a prolific scorer with consistent contributions throughout this season. She has quick feet, a nose for the goal, and the ability to finish from difficult angles. Webb is right footed, but fully capable of beating players off the dribble on either foot. She is a weapon in the press with her aggressive playing style and dogged determination. She's been a top performer in the ECNL this season.      Karim is a forward on the [program_tooltip program_id='278673' first='HTX' last='GA'] 2012 team. She can play center forward or on the wing. She had a stellar showing at the recent GA event in Southern California and helped her team to a 3-0 record. Karim has pace, skill, and strength. She possesses the breakaway speed to punish the defense on any mistake. She seems to thrive more when she can pick up the ball from the wing and cut inside and go at multiple defenders. She hammers the ball with authority when she has a chance on goal. Karim is also a weapon on set pieces as she wins the aerial duel consistently. She's been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past.     Krasniqi has qualities that you rarely see at outside back. She's dynamic in the attack. Fully capable of beating players off the dribble. She is a free ranging player who isn't stuck to a side or position. If she sees an opportunity for her team or a space to exploit, she's going to make the play. She's a stellar 1v1 defender too. She's a top talent as an outside back.      Beal is a member of the U.S. Youth National Team in the 2011 age group. She's part of the [program_tooltip program_id='280251' first='Forms' last='Academy'] Residency Program and on the club's 2011 team. She is also listed on the Solar 2011 ECNL team roster. She's a defender with elite athleticism and skill. She is a top ranked player in the state for basketball too. The [program_tooltip program_id='280251' first='Forms' last='Academy'] star is one of the best in the nation in the 2011 age group.      Cleary is a midfielder on the Sting Royal 2012 ECNL team. She is a box-to-box midfielder who can do it all. She is a dominant force in aerial duels. Her side utilizes that on set pieces, but it also shows up defensively on the press as she cuts out the outlet through the center. Cleary is good with either foot on the shot and can score from distance. She's been a key reason for her team's success in the ECNL this season.      Linscomb is a defender/midfielder on the Sting Royal 2012 ECNL team. She can play any number of roles for her team. She's got excellent vision and skill. She's a weapon in how she progresses the ball up the field off the dribble and she shows good awareness in her decision-making when breaking lines of pressure. Linscomb has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past.      Smith is the goalkeeper on the [program_tooltip program_id='278673' first='HTX' last='GA'] 2012 team. She has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She has good, secure hands. She handles high crosses well. She is tall and catches the ball away from her body. She is quick to release the ball in distribution as her team has speed on the counter. Smith has been the goalkeeper for one of the top teams in the country for the past few years and come up big in key moments.
