Florida’s 2028 Class Is Taking Over the ECNL Southeast

The ECNL Southeast has been hotly contested through the first few months of the club season. As the calendar turns into 2026, here is a look at the players from Florida who have been instrumental to their team's success and are rising up the rankings in the Prep Soccer Florida 2028 Player Rankings.    Jerricho is a winger/attacking midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier'] 2010 ECNL team. She was named to the ECNL Southeast All-Conference team last season. She's also been called into the US Soccer Youth National Team. She's been outstanding this season. She's a main reason for the [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier'] sitting on the top of the standings. Her decision-making in the final third is among the best in the nation from the winger position. She is great at knowing when to attack in 1v1 situations. There is a timing from when she takes that big touch to race past the defender and she has this ability to set up center backs to get their hips square and off-balance and then explode past them. She's a sophisticated attacking talent with elite qualities that suggest a professional future.     Cummings is a winger on [program_tooltip program_id='283667' first='Jacksonville' last='FC'] 09 ECNL. She is an exciting attacking talent who is part of the ODP Regional Team. Cummings was one of the players who stood out from game film immediately. She tends to tilt the field in her direction. She's a magnet for the ball. A large part of that is the effort she gives when on the field. She's a tornado at times with unstoppable commitment on both sides of the ball. She's a powerful dribbler who charges through tackles and runs over defenders. She whips in a cross with ferocious pace and has generated quite a few chances for her side this season with her dynamic play from the wide position. Cummings is a rapid riser in the Prep Soccer state rankings and a player who could shine bright from the elite competition this weekend.     Russell is an outside back on the FL Premier 2010 ECNL team. She is capable of playing either side of the formation. She is right footed. She's been a right back for her club team, but she plays left back for the Puerto Rico U17 Women's National Team. She is an excellent 1v1 defender and among the best in the ECNL. She is athletic, quick, and has unlimited endurance. Russell is a two-way player from outside back. Her team lets her fly into the attack and she can whip in a cross or even take a shot on goal from time to time. She's been outstanding this season in ECNL and had a stellar showing recently with the Puerto Rico U17 squad.     Savino is a center forward on the FL Premier 09 ECNL team. She has been highlighted previously for her play with [program_tooltip program_id='283764' first='West' last='Florida Flames']. She's been in top form during this season in the ECNL and for her high school. She is playing with a ton of confidence and even showing out while having the attention of every defender. Her effectiveness playing as a center forward might be an overlooked aspect of her game. She can occupy both center backs with her back to the goal play and create chances for her teammates. Close to goal, she still has the quality to spin off defenders and finish chances. Savino is a No. 9 who should be a top priority for scouts as she has all the potential to be an All-Conference type of talent at the college level in one of the most important positions on the field.     Mikou is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier'] 2010 ECNL team. She is also part of the Morocco Youth National Team. She can play attacking midfield or on the wing. She's five-foot-six, right footed. She has a terrific first touch. The ball is glued to her foot. She is clever with her play. She can split the defense with her passing and vision. She's also an impressive finisher with excellent technique in her ball striking from the run of play. Mikou's play at the international level has been a bright spot as well. She's a two-way player on the wing who is excellent in the press and smart about her quick play without any wasted touches. Mikou has unlimited potential and looks to be among the top players in Florida.     Roberts is listed as a forward/midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier'] 2010 ECNL team roster. I've only seen her play as a defensive midfielder. She's a tough tackling, quick-thinking, competitive player in the center of the field. She's strong on the ball and difficult to knock off balance in a duel. Roberts dictates the game for her side with her tenacious defensive play. Roberts was brilliant in the second half of [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier']'s last game before the winter break (back in October) with her improvisation and quick-play. She created a number of chances. That type of free thinking will certainly catch the eyes of scouts at showcase events.     Lawler is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283350' first='Florida' last='Premier'] 2010 ECNL team. She is a key catalyst for her team. She runs the center of the field with her tactical intelligence and feel for the game. She is excellent at scanning the field and finding the weakness of the opposition. She also excels at keeping the balance for her team. She covers well for her teammates and allows the outside backs to push forward at will so they can create overloads and she can cover those spots. Lawler has been an instrumental part of one of the most successful teams in the ECNL over the past few seasons. Her skillful play and soccer smarts have been on full display against the best teams in the country. She's a midfielder and a leader for her team and one who could help any program.
