Girls Academy Midwest West ID: 2010s to Know in Iowa

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Girls Academy Midwest West Talent ID event is being held January 31 in Iowa. The roster for the event was announced on Wednesday. The 2010 age group features some of the top talent in the country in the 2028 and 2029 classes. Kansas Rush made an impression on scouts during the Winter Showcase and earned five spots on the roster. She was a key part of her high school squad that advanced to the State Championship. She's got the athleticism and physicality to match-up against older competition. She plays as a left center back for her club team. She's shown excellent instincts with the ball at her feet. McColgan also offers quality in the attack. She covers a ton of ground and can hit a ball with accuracy. She had a couple of key passes per game during the Winter Event. She is also capable of drifting out wide and hitting in a cross. McLaughlin's consistent threat as a No. 9 is a reason for Sporting Nebraska's success against the top teams in the Girls Academy. She never shies away from the ball and does well as a the target for her team - especially as an outlet on throw-ins. Her highlights feature a lot of the exceptional tackles she makes in 1v1 situations, but her game management - harder to show on highlights - is a strong part of her game too.
