Rankings Preview: Girls Academy talent in Florida 2028 Ranking

The Florida 2028 rankings will be unveiled this week on Prep Soccer. Prior to the release of the updated rankings for this class. Check out a scouting report on a few of the new names in the rankings for this update.    🏎️   🇹🇹   💨   Wilson is a winger on the Florida United 09 GA team. She is a member of the Trinidad and Tobago U17 Women's Youth National Team. She is a speedster on the wing. Dynamic with the ball at her feet, she is an elite attacking talent. She is good at using her quick burst and strength on the ball in 1v1 situations. Wilson's got endless potential and scouts should be taking note of her recent play as she continues to show improvement with her decision-making in the final third. She could improve in her movement off the ball. She tends to use her athleticism to overwhelm the outside back, but there is room for her to be even more effective if she cleans up the precision of her runs and becomes the unstoppable winger that she is fully capable of being in 2026. She's one of the top wingers in the 2028 class in Florida.      🤺   🪄 Amireh is a winger on the [program_tooltip program_id='283764' first='West' last='Florida Flames'] 2010 GA team. She is a key point of the attack for her team. She's a clever player in 1v1 situations. She likes to face up against defenders. She uses body feints and close control of the ball to beat the first mark and she is quick to recognize weaknesses in the opposing defense when she creates an advantage. She is a good finisher, but also shows elite playmaking qualities from the wing. Amireh has been a standout in a number of Girls Academy games this season.     🪡 🧱 Bravo is a center back on the Pinecrest 2010 GA team. She plays left center back for her club team. She's got the physical profile to be a star in the role at the next level. She's tall and athletic. Her best attributes are her on-the-ball skills. She can thread the needle with her passing. She splits the defense and plays a variety of passes so that the opposition will have a hard time guessing where she is going with the outlet pass. Bravo has been outstanding this season in the Girls Academy and should be considered among the best in her position in Florida.     🛡️ 🧠 Smithberger is one of the players who stood out from game film at the Girls Academy Winter Showcase and throughout the 2025 campaign. The right center back for [program_tooltip program_id='283764' first='West' last='Florida Flames'] 2010 GA has put together a string of consistent high-level performances against the top tier talent in the GA. She is a terrific defender and makes impactful plays in every game. Her soccer intelligence shines with her positioning and tactical know-how when organizing her side. Smithberger has shown elite qualities this season in the GA for one of the best teams in the Southeast.     🎯 🥅 Curnutte is an attacking midfielder from the [program_tooltip program_id='283764' first='West' last='Florida Flames'] 2010 GA team. She is a player who is always looking to attack and get her team on the front foot. She does this with her play on the ball, but also with her play in the press. She's good at dictating where the game is played thanks to ability in the duel. Curnutte shows up on the scoresheet pretty consistently because she is confident in her shot and willing to take chances. She's been a bright spot in the Flames midfield this season.     🐺   📈   🧲   Fanchi is a center forward on the [program_tooltip program_id='283764' first='West' last='Florida Flames'] 2010 GA team. She has been one of the leading scorers for the squad this season. She can do it in a variety of ways. She has the pace to punish the defense - both in the press and in getting behind as the target on through balls, she also has the tactical knowledge to play as a back to the goal center forward and turn on the center back to create chances. Fanchi draws the attention of the defense because she can do it all and that opens up the attack for her side. She's been a key for her team's success this season.
