Davidson College's Committed Players

<p>The next university in North Carolina to look at is <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/college/davidson/" id="https://prepsoccer.com/college/davidson/">Davidson College</a>. Of the four players that Prep Soccer has listed as committed players, 2 come from neighboring states and the other 2 from New York. These players are immensely talented and deserve to be spotlighted before they start their collegiate careers.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2026</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Adriana is a great talent who can play across the attack comfortably, but performs best as a striker. She is a former Croatian youth international, registering appearances for the U-17 national team. Her movements into open spaces are fantastic, knowing where to move to generate as much danger as possible. In front of goal, she remains composed enough to bag goals easily. She also presents herself as an aerial threat thanks to her height and heading accuracy. Because of her fantastic positioning, she doesn't need to work too hard to get on the end of great chances. These can be either aerial or on the ground, which makes her a complete threat in the box.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Riley is an immensely talented midfielder who can play as a false-winger or as a regular "10". In some cases, thanks to her great attributes, she can play as a 9 or false 9. Whatever the case may be, she is a complete threat in the final third. Her ball control allows her to operate in difficult areas, especially in half-spaces. She finds pockets of space to create magic in. Her agility and skills allow her to get rid of pressure calmly. The way she finds these spaces and creates something out of nothing demonstrates how intelligent she is. This translates into her passing. Her passes are great to watch. Characterized by their weight and precision, they cause the defense constant danger. This leaves her teammates in golden areas to finalize plays. When she is on the receiving end of these passes, she remains levelheaded enough to finalize effectively. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kaitlyn is a very reliable full-back who can be deployed on either side. Though she's right-footed and would therefore be characterized as a right-back, she is a genuine talent on either side. Defensively, she is imposing. She doesn't allow players to beat her in one-on-one situations thanks to her strong tackles. Even though her tackles are strong, they're still clean. By clean, I don't just mean not committing fouls, but also retaining possession. In attack, she knows exactly where and when to move. Her tactical understanding, combined with her match awareness, allows her to give offensive support from deep. If a play asks her to overlap, invert, or stay in position, she'll do whichever so that her team is as effective as possible.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2027</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Molly is one of the most exciting goalkeepers I've seen so far. She is just as wonderful a shotstopper as she is a ball-playing keeper or even a sweeper. Anything you can ask of a goalkeeper, she has it. Her reflexes and diving are wonderful to watch. No matter how tough a shot is to reach, she'll do anything to reach it. The way she leaps for these saves is impressive. She also helps end attacks by either claiming a loose ball or coming off her line to clear the ball as far as possible. In build up, she offers herself as another passing option. In whatever role she's asked to take, she doesn't let pressure get to her. If she's facing high pressure or difficult shots, she keeps a cool head to keep her team in the match.</p>
