Hidden Firepower: 7 NJ 2028 Goal Scorers to Know

The Prep Soccer state rankings for the New Jersey class of 2028 will be updated this week. Prior to the release of the rankings, check out a scouting report on seven under-the-radar goal scoring threats from the 2028 New Jersey class.    Grycuk is a winger on the STA 2010 GA team. She is listed as a forward/midfielder on her player profile. I think she's been the most effective on the wing. She has a great set of moves to beat defenders 1v1. She also has the endurance to cover the whole field with the runs through the center channel. She's a good finisher with her right foot and has been a consistent scorer in recent Girls Academy games. There's a lot of potential here. She has shown the promising glimpses during recent months to be considered among the elite wingers in the state in this class. She has that nose for the goal and ability to make a difference in the final third that scouts desire from the position. Grycuk is certainly one scouts should get to know prior to June.     Brown is a forward on the STA 2010 GA team. She is a center forward who has blistering quickness. Brown's best attribute is her speed. She gets up and hits top speed in a blink of an eye. She uses it when she's on the ball and can turn on the defender, but she's created just as many chances with her defensive pressure. The ability to surprise the center back with her quick first step has provided to be quite the weapon for her team. She also makes good decisions in the transition aspect of the game. Brown has the quality to find a role at the college level with her game-breaking qualities.     Devereaux is a center midfielder on [program_tooltip program_id='283724' first='Real' last='Futbol Academy'] 2010 GA. She can do a bit of everything. Her ability on set pieces stands out from her player profile. She strikes a ball well and can put on frame consistently. The goal she scored against Southern Soccer Academy is a perfect showcase of that leg strength and perfect technique. Devereaux is a physical player who isn't afraid to get into the challenge. She's been a key player for her club team this season.     Wandling is a forward on the Cedar Stars Monmouth 2010 GA team. She was part of the GA Northeast Talent ID event last season. She's been equally as effective and dominant this season. She's a dynamic attacking talent with pace. She is great around the box with her quickness and nose for the goal. She can get off a shot or cross with a blink of the eye. Wandling's competitiveness and drive stand out. She never quits on the ball and does the dirty work in the press to help her team win.     Hani is a forward on the Cedar Stars Bergen 2010 GA team. She was part of the GA Northeast Talent ID event last season. Hani is a center forward who has excellent ball control. She does well in the hold-up play and can play with her back to the goal. She's not the most imposing forward in this class, but she's one of the best at keeping defenders on her back and allowing her teammates to make runs off of her to create chances. Hani is a good finisher and she will bury chances around the goal. She scored two of her team's three goals during the recent GA event.     Brower is an attacking midfielder on the Cedar Stars Academy Monmouth 2010 GA team. She can play in the center of the field, but she also slide out wide into a winger role. She has a great first touch and plays with her head up. Brower is a playmaker from the attacking midfield spot. She's an excellent passer and seems to always put the correct weight on the pass. She's been a catalyst of the attack with her consistent key passes. Brower's soccer smarts will be a key aspect of her game for a long time.     Smith is the captain of the [program_tooltip program_id='373101' first='NJ' last='Crush'] 2010 ECNL RL team. She can play as the center forward or a winger for her club team. She has good pace - and runs track events at the high school level. She's been a consistent scorer this season. She can score with her pace getting behind the defense, but she is also capable of scoring from distance with her right footed shot. Smith has been a standout in the ECNL RL this season.
