Rankings Preview: Scouting the top five in PA's 2029 Class

The Prep Soccer state rankings for Pennsylvania's 2029 class will be released this week. Prior to the release of the rankings, check out a scouting report on the top five players in the freshman class in Pennsylvania.      Bhuta is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='286904' first='Century' last='United'] GA team. She was named to the US U15 Girls Youth National Team for the recent trip to England. She is the younger sister of Stanford star Mia Bhuta, who also played for the US Youth National Team.    Lilia is a dominant player in the Girls Academy. She is an elite finisher for a midfielder. She has great composure on the ball and does well with the placement of her shot. She has impressive soccer smarts. There is a lot of resemblance in her game to her older sister, which is among the highest compliments. The younger Bhuta has been among the best players in the country this past season and deserves the attention from scouts at the national level.      Byers is a goalkeeper on the Penn Fusion 2011 ECNL team. She is part of the US Soccer U15 Girls Youth National Team pool. She has been part of the Gotham FC Talent ID events in the past. Byers is the top ranked goalkeeper in the class and one of the best in the country. She is one of two talented goalkeepers on her club team.    Byers stands out for her quality on the ball in distribution. She's an excellent passer. She strikes the ball well consistently. She hits a great driven pass with accuracy. She's an impressive shot-stopper with strong hands and good diving technique.    Byers has all the tools to be a top goalkeeper at the next level.      Maloney is a defender on the Philadelphia Ukrainians 2011 ECNL team. She has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She was an ECNL North Atlantic All-Conference First Team selection last season.    Maloney plays right center back for her club team. She's right-footed. She plays with her head up and does a good job scanning the field for passing options. She's capable of progressing the ball up the field off the dribble. She has elite recovery speed and impressive athleticism - those traits also make her an option at outside back. She can pull off a slide tackle with excellent technique. She's been the dominant force of the Ukies backline.      Bachmann is a forward on the [program_tooltip program_id='283649' first='FC' last='DELCO'] 2011 ECNL team. She has been part of multiple US Soccer Talent ID events in the past including the U14 Girls Youth National Team National ID roster last year.    She is a skillful player with high energy output and consistent scoring at the ECNL level. She is a player who is always working. She is relentless in her pursuit of the ball and in her efforts to score goals. When she has chances, she makes the most of them. Bachmann has been a top performer for the talented DELCO squad.      Schaedler is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283669' first='Keystone' last='FC'] 2011 GA team. She has been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She was also part of the Girls Academy National Talent ID roster last summer.    Schaedler is a box-to-box midfielder with a great first touch, ability to strike the ball off either foot, and an engine to cover the full field from the whole game. She's been a dominant presence for her club team this season. She does well as an outlet when breaking the press. She can play with a defender on her back, but she also shows excellent instincts in creating space with subtle off the ball movement. She's got an eye for the goal and regularly tries her luck with shots from outside of the box. She's been successful with those efforts.    Schaedler has emerged as a top talent to know from the Girls Academy at the national level.
