Six Outstanding Center Midfielders in the Carolinas

<p>North and South Carolina are home to a lot of clubs across multiple leagues. This means, more competition and the talent pool is very deep. There are six players that are taking their game to new heights and they range from Defensive, Box to Box, and Attacking midfielders. </p>   <p>Here are the players that are raising the level in the Carolinas.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">James is a center midfielder for the [program_tooltip program_id='283629' first='Charlotte' last='FC'] MLS Academy. He is a true box to box midfielder who can cover the ground athletically and haas the technique to control a game. James is a two footed player. He have a range of passes in his tool kit and he uses all of them to keep possession and break lines. He can play with pressure on his back and finds pockets of space to open up the game. He was recently brought into a USYNT U16 Futures camp as he will only get better as he physically matures and grows.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Braden is a central midfield player for Charlotte Soccer Academy. He is very technical and composed as both an 8 or a 6. Braden has a great soccer brain and can facilitate the game with the ball at his feet and directing other players around him. He can play in tight spaces and switch the play to wingers to open up the field. He is the captain for both his ECNL and State Champion High School teams. The former Charlotte Independence player is really good at finding pockets of space in the midfield. He can act as facilitator as well as chance creator. He has a high soccer IQ and his speed of play shows maturity beyond his years. Gabe was brought in to the USYNT U16 futures camp and recently scored against the Colorado Rapids at the MLS Flex event. As Gabe physically matures he will dominate games more and more.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Harrison is a defensive midfielder for the [program_tooltip program_id='283526' first='Wilmington' last='Hammerheads'] ECNL team. He is a true holding midfielder or better known as a 6. He protects the back line and have great timing on his tackles. He relishes in breaking up the attack of the opposition. He can also keep possession of the ball and break lines in building out of the back. Being left footed adds balance to his team and his future college program. He is dangerous when delivering set pieces. Any corner or free kick Harrison plays will be a scoring opportunity for the runners.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">James is a central midfielder for the [program_tooltip program_id='288071' first='South' last='Carolina Surf'] ECNL team. He is a box to box midfielder with a high soccer IQ. He understands when to make runs forward and when to support from behind the play. James also has great understanding of how and when to press. It is no wonder why he is the captain of his team and one of the top midfielders in south Carolina. James would be an asset to a lot of college programs as he is incredibly versatile and understands both sides of the ball.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Roland is an attacking midfielder for [program_tooltip program_id='283516' first='Wake' last='FC'] in North Carolina. He is an elegant left footed player who glides with the ball at his feet. He has really soft feet for his size and can play in small tight spaces with a lot of pressure. He really excels at making runs into the box and attacking crosses.
