South East Prospects Featured on U‑14 National Roster

After three 80‑player regional mini‑camps across the West, East, and Central, U.S. Soccer narrowed the pool to 62 of the top performers for the U‑14 Girls' Talent ID National Camp. Since last August, more than 2,000 female players have been evaluated nationwide, showing the depth and quality inside the youth pathway.   This week in Fayetteville, Ga., those 62 players are currently in camp from May 26–31, marking the second event held at the newly opened Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center. With the female game continuing to rise, here are South East players worth noticing from the national roster.    The Florida United keeper is fearless, confident, and willing to put her body on the line. Additionally she carries traits often seen in older, more seasoned keepers. Her aggressiveness and instinct to step off her line give her an edge in high‑pressure moments. Likewise she reads danger early and closes space before attackers can settle. Consequently she disrupts rhythm and forces opponents into rushed decisions. She arrives in camp as a Southeast keeper ready to compete for meaningful success.     Edwards enters camp ready to show her range as a midfielder stepping into a defensive role. Then she proves she can be a true two‑way player with her ability to read play early. Later she brings her scoring instincts into the back line, using quickness and awareness to find distribution lanes midfielders expect. Consequently she disrupts pressure and starts attacks with confidence. Ultimately Edwards will look to turn her midfield strengths into a real advantage along the back line.     Frericks plays with vision two passes ahead, allowing her to break lines with passes opponents never anticipate. In possession, she manages tempo well and distributes with purpose from the back. Thus, she will look to assert herself as one of the most reliable South East defenders in camp.     Bernachea showed her quality months ago as the youngest rostered player at the GA Cup. During that run, she didn't just keep up. She excelled, scoring multiple goals and adapting quickly to the pace.   As she enters camp, she brings valuable experience competing with older players and the confidence that comes with producing in big moments.
