GA Summer Playoffs and Showcase Day 2 Standouts

These are some talented players who have not committed yet and might only be available for a short time. The score at the half was 1-0, but Indy finished the match with a win of 2-0. Delanie anticipated open lanes to make her runs and she usually was able to fire off shots from close range. She also showed some skill in making quick cuts to her strong side to get two goals on the day in a 5-2 win. Delanie won All-Tournament Player honors at the Battle of Ironwood Tournament out of 23 teams competing in the tourney. Her strong play on the backline included jumping into passing and running lanes. Making clean tackles and disrupting most attacking attempts from the middle of the attacking third. I also like her quick release passes and ability to anticipate the attack. Madeline's presence on defense kept Albion to only two goals on the day in a 5-2 win. Her ability to step off her line to stop runs and angled shots is where she stood out. Also, she made it difficult for her opponents to take top-level shots, so they tried skipping through the wings to make low crosses. I really liked her leadership skills in moving and adjusting the shape of the defense.
