Five Texas Outside Backs to Track at ECNL Girls Finals

<p>The biggest week of the season has arrived in the ECNL Girls League, as the league is set to host its Playoffs and Finals for the U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 age groups from July 11-17 in Redmond, Washington.</p>   <p>The massive event held at 60 Acres Park will feature as many as 288 teams, which will compete in the Champions League, North American Cup, Showcase Cup and Friendlies in the Pacific Northwest.</p>   <p>The state of Texas will have as many as 25 teams making the trip to the state of Washington, with [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'], [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'], [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite'], [program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'], [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'], Solar SC, [program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'], Sting Black and Sting Royal all being represented in the event.</p>   <p>As we focus our event coverage on the U15, U16 and U17 age groups, we'll now list five players in each position who could make an impact in the Playoffs. Now, we check the outside backs out:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Talbott is part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] G11 team that qualified for the Champions League and will face Washington's XF Academy in its first match in Redmond. A right back, she brings a great deal of balance to their backline with her consistent and efficient game. Talbott is very determined and well-versed defensively, stopping opponents who get into her zone with firm tackles and doing a good job when he steps up to press them in their own half, not allowing much space. Talbott also has the quality and the confidence to get involved in the team's offensive plays, be it by helping them move the ball from the center of the field or connecting in plays out wide.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLcpIyJRZxt/ </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bartlett will appear in the Champions Cup with the [program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] G11 team that has California's Bay Area Surf in their bracket in the first round of the playoffs. A versatile player, she can be used on both outside back spots, central defense and even as a defensive midfielder. A Filipino youth international, Bartlett times her defensive actions extremely well and manages to win duels against taller and stronger opponents, making key stops around and inside the penalty box. Capable of playing as an outside back or on the wing on the right, she's an offensive-minded wide player who uses her ability and pace to make plays in the attacking half. Foster is dangerous when she brings the ball inside to make runs or deliver passes, demonstrating impeccable timing with her distribution. Standing at 5'11", the left back is an outstanding defensive player who relies on her big frame to win duels, but is also excellent at intercepting passes and pressing opponents. Finan's soccer IQ is very high, and more often than not, she already knows what to do with the ball even before winning it, which allows her to quickly turn defense into offense. Mostly used as a left back, she's very solid defensively, often appearing in good spots to stop plays and showing great determination to track opponents down and defend in transition. Sosa is very smart with her movement off the ball and can support the attack in different ways, engaging in good combination plays and beating opponents off the dribble out wide.
