Select ECNL G11 Claims North American Cup Title

Select ECNL G11 won the North American Cup Final with a 2-1 comeback victory over Penn Fusion SA ECNL G11. Their championship run included wins over Minnesota Thunder ECNL G11, OK Energy FC G11, Sting Royal G2010/11, and Penn Fusion in the final.   The championship match was a hard-fought game from the opening whistle. Both teams creating chances and defending well. She is a consistent and accurate defensive midfielder who supports the backline well and can make the key passes for her team going forward. Murphy had a solid performance throughout this match and did well to showcase her strenghts.   Defensively, Murphy showed to be accurate and strong into tackles. She tracks marks and doesn't allow her opponents much time on the ball. Additionally, she stays connected and can recognize when she needs to drop deeper into the backline.   In possession, Tierney showcased that she can break lines and change the attacking game for her team. She is calm under pressure and does well to make consistent passes to her teammates' feet. Overall, Tierney Murphy is a smart and accurate player for Select ECNL G11.     Anya Duffy plays as a midfielder for Select ECNL G11. She showed in this final that she doesn't shy away from hard work and played a pivotal role in the first goal. Duffy is a confident and selfless player that does everything she can to set her teammates up in the attacking half.   In possession, Anya had good movement off the ball and supported at good angles. Her passing was consistent and she did well with the direction of her touch to set herself up to take players on or to pass and move. Notably, Duffy played the long cross in for the first goal of the match, levelling the match.   Defensively, Anya works back and made a number of interceptions in the defensive third that could have changed the course of this match. She tracks her marks well and will put her body on the line to prevent her opponents from having a clear chance. Overall, Anya Duffy has a positive impact when she is on the pitch for Select ECNL G11.     Mia Bargfrede plays as a forward for Select ECNL G11. She is a quick, intelligent, and aware attacking player that looks to have a positive impact in the attacking third. During this match, Mia had a good performance and did well to showcase what makes her a threat to opponents.   On the ball, Bargfrede had accurate passes and was smart in her decision-making. She showed that she can recognize space ahead and when she has a good opportunity to take opponents on with the ball at her feet. Additionally, she will take her opportunities in and around the box when she gets the chance.   In possession, Mia had great movement off the ball and did well to create space for herself. She showed in good areas and was aware of where she was on the pitch. Ultimately, Mia Bargfrede is a strong attacking player for Select ECNL G11 and did well to continue challenging the opponents in the attacking half.
