Five Goalkeepers to Know From the New Texas 2030 Boys Rankings

<p>Prep Soccer Texas is proud to release the first-ever version of its 2030 Boys State Rankings. After months of scouting, we're happy to reveal the list of players that made our cut and the rankings we assigned to each of them, based on the potential demonstrated over the last year.</p>   <p>The rankings will continue to be consistently updated so they accurately reflect the progress achieved by players over time and present a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always keeping in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/boys/2030-rankings/">Texas 2030 Boys State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The new Texas 2030 Boys State Rankings feature 100 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list. These goalkeepers are among the very best in the Lone Star State:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Gallegos is the top-ranked goalkeeper and appears in eighth place overall in Texas. He's part of [program_tooltip program_id='283612' first='Austin' last='FC']'s Academy and competes in the MLS Next League. Gallegos is a reliable shot-stopper who stands out for his positioning and reflexes, while also using his legs very well to deny opponents in close-range shots and 1v1 situations. He has good command of the penalty box, efficiently navigating it to claim crosses, and doesn't hesitate when he needs to leave his line to challenge opponents or beat them for a pass in behind. He's in a league of his own when it comes to using his feet, as he's incredibly calm and effective in possession, playing a big role in the team's buildup.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSQ-80RgD2a/ </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Huckins is the third-best goalkeeper in Texas and ranks 26th overall according to our Rankings. He plays in the MLS Next League and recently switched clubs, moving from GFI Academy to the [program_tooltip program_id='283657' first='Houston' last='Dynamo'] Academy. A tall goalkeeper, Huckins uses his length very well and is very hard to beat between the posts because of his ability to get to the corners quickly. He has very good reflexes and needs no time to get to the ground, reacting very well to deflected shots and close-range finishes. His technique is also remarkable, making him handle everything that comes his way cleanly and efficiently.</p>   <p><strong><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DUo9xuYDlJc/">Highlights</a></strong></p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Reyna took fourth place among the Texas goalkeepers and is listed 29th overall in Texas. He represents Solar SC in the ECNL League and plays high school soccer for Wylie. Reyna's flawless positioning and his solid technical skills allow him to handle long-distance shots with remarkable efficiency. The goalkeeper is also very explosive and can perform impressive digs when needed. Reyna's ability to accurately read the path of the ball also helps when he needs to leave the goal to claim crosses in the box. He plays club soccer in the MLS Next League, representing the [program_tooltip program_id='283658' first='Houston' last='Rangers'], and is part of Summer Creek High School. Floriano has a very clean game between the posts, highlighted by his ability to consistently be at the right spot to make saves. He's got good technique, always approaching shots and crosses the right way, and is very consistent with his performances. He plays for Rise SC in the ECNL League at the club level. He plays very consistently between the posts, showing remarkable agility and athleticism to get to difficult shots and superior decision-making to perform in moments of pressure.
